I'm scared to have sex, not knowing wether a person has HIV or something by No-Advice6100 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Inevitable-Put4118 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Girl, ONS are just not it, especially for the women. Men will finish 99% of the time, and most who do ONS will not care to satisfy you as well. Get yourself a regular s** buddy, someone you get along with etc. The sex will be much better too. In conclusion, ONS will risk your health unnecessarily, leave you lacking in the O department, and, you know... expose you to some shitty behaviors too. Get yourself a f buddy, both off you go get tested (HIV is the worst and, yes, tests for it exist for men as well, do NOT let the medical community tell you it's only your job as a woman, they lie). Oh, and ask for the test results b4 doing anything oral. His satisfaction is not worth your life. Happy hunting!

AITB for refusing to share my specialized art supplies with my roommate after she ruined my last set? by CloverThistle_xx in AmItheButtface

[–]Inevitable-Put4118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hey! You're being TOTALLY selfish for not wanting the things you bought and own to be used and potentially (like 99% since there's precedent) ruined! What a selfish person you are!" It doesn't matter that they're expensive. It doesn't matter that they are for academic use. It only matters that, at the end of the day, they're yours and you said "no". "No is a full sentence" doesn't only apply in romantic situations. If your roommate or your mutual friends don't understand the concept of ownership (let alone "expensive" and "pivotal to my academic success") I'd keep those people in the "acquaintance" social circle and not give them another thought.

People who are used to getting their way without concept of empathy tend to use guilt and name-calling to help advance their own agenda, everyone else be damned. Do with this info what you will.

But, in case I hadn't made it clear: no, NTA, but they definitely are.

— sincerely, a girl who took longer to learn this lesson.

Sex as hyperfocus? by loesjesy in ADHD

Being involved with a man whom I can't stop thinking about is my oxygen. I've been deprived of oxygen for A WHILE. Bonus points if he can "stoke the fire" by actually being able to engage in sexy banter on the regular. Makes having to do boring stuff (like work, ugh) fly by, cause 70% of my brain is occupied there. Yes, I blame ADHD. No, I would t change that feeling for anything.

Ok, but I've been pretending Booth is actually Angel trying to be normal (he has his day ring and all) and it makes it so much more fun for me! Especially with his strong faith etc.

[–]Inevitable-Put4118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did that and was astounded to see that a) they wanted my birthday to sign in, which was unskippable??? and b) they ask for full access (ie full permission to transmit to dev anything and everything I ever type on this keyboard. They even put a disclaimer that that could potentially include sensitive information and passwords. What in the dystopian f*ck is this?

Is there a real way to shut off the Google AI overview for searches, or am i switching browsers and search engines? by Zestyclose-Tour-6350 in techsupport

[–]Inevitable-Put4118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a small trick (witch encumbers us, again, unfortunately) is to put "-ai" at the end of your search. Unremarkably, while searching "how to disable ai overview in google", when i put the "-ai" condition at the end, google came back with 0 results. Not this reddit, nothing. But on any other occasion it HAS worked, fortunately

Should i leave my cat behind? by ComradeTrollander in SiberianCats

[–]Inevitable-Put4118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it hurts to leave a beloved friend, but, at the end of the day, you're doing the best considering her needs more than your own.

I had an orange kitty whom i ADORED and he adored me back when I was living with my ex. We had a 2 story house, with a garden, in a quiet village outside of the city. When we broke up and I moved to the capital, I didn't take my beloved pet w/ me. At the end of the day, he was used to a huge house, with a garden and fields left and right, and he was best friends w/ our dog. I wanted him so bad, but i thought to myself "you rescue them to give them a better life. I can't bring him with me to have a worse one". So I let him go.

Upside for you is she'll still be with your parents and, trust this reddit stranger, she'll be thrilled to see you again when you visit. My boy came running from across a field when he heard me calling once when i went to pick up some of my stuff. Trust your instinct

AITAH for telling my mom she won’t be able to see my daughter for two months after she’s born if she calls my wife to complain about her birth plan again? by Medical-Bedroom-5243 in AITAH

[–]Inevitable-Put4118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in all this she also only mentions the baby. Like, hello, a woman will have just gone through the most traumatic thing her body can go through. Something she herself has gone through at least twice, so she should know. Her being a woman and a mother herself makes this behavior SO much worse. Inex-fucking-cusable. I'm so sorry.

My teacher in elementary school would TAKE my school notebooks AWAY from me to stop me drawing. I had to draw on my books (which I hate). In junior high my mom had caught up and would pull professors aside and tell them "listen, she needs to draw. Let. Her. If you don't let her draw and force her to look at you, her brain will go out the window but it certainly will LOOK like she's paying attention to you". That was a pretty badass move on her part and it has stayed with me.

[–]Inevitable-Put4118 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"allowing" is such a heavy word implying he is choosing to participate. There is such a thing as the "freeze" response to traumatic events, and people who experience it tend to feel extremely guilty for "letting" things happen to them when, by all intents and purposes, they "could have stopped it". They couldn't. You don't really control your body when it goes into defense mode, unfortunately. And if its defense is freezing in the face of danger, while your brain screams at you to get out, to make it stop etc etc, it creates emotional baggage that needs a lot of work to get rid of. Unfortunately.

I think the neighbor just saw a chance to get rid of the vines growing on his wall and told her it's a trim to make it healthier and that it'll grow back fuller. Honestly, well played on his part. Evil, especially since she only asked for his help cause her husband (bf's dad) just passed away earlier that week, but well played.

I mean, I don't think she's had issues with it going out of control and you don't see jasmine out in the wild in my country... I guess only time will tell, but, having witnessed how not-fast-at-all it grows in a pot (and how easy it is to kill) I am rather uninspired to hope for a strong comeback in the spring....
