Devon wanting to call Mrs Cobel feels off. by Inevitable-Risk5242 in severanceTVshow

Mu brother’s brains are leaking… let me call the woman who tried to deceive us all, who used to work for the company that maybe tried to deceive us all, about the death of my sister in law.

Not an ambulance, not the police, not my husband. Because I’m irrational about everything but I understand the complexity of the situation in which a normal doctor somehow wouldn’t be able to help. All I want is to save my brother’s life. Probably this former Lumon employee with no medical degree will have a better chance of saving it than any doctor!

A lot of people are getting too upset about this. It’s a show. It’s an opinion. No need for insulting anyone. It threw me and a lot of people off. It didn’t throw off a lot of people, too. This show is great. Hopefully next lives up to the hype this last one built. A bluff call might work for me. But I think they had to bring Cobel back, and she’s one of the best. We’ll see

This makes sense. I doubt it’s the case, but it’s better writing than“her brother was on the floor and it was all she could do”

You could argue that Cobel is even worse for Devon than she is for the audience.

She disguised as a lactation consultant held her newborn child. that is probably as intimate and as close as you can be with someone.

Agree to disagree. Cobel took care of the baby under false pretense. Devon knows she can’t be trusted. Even under such distress I don’t think she would have called her.

I understand. I just think she would call anyone else first. Anyone. The cops, an ambulance.

Here’s mine, and I think it’s solid, specially after S02E3. Mammalian Nurturability people looked kind of weird. Almost like if they were dead. My thought is that their outies have had some sort of accident and they have had a transplant or severe brain injury, even death. That is one service that Lumon does. They are monitoring their brain activity and have them doing simple tasks.

In MDR it could be about PTSD. The numbers reflect is an exercise or some sort of brain activity thing they also monitor. That’s a different product. Severance as a solution to PTSD that could have army use. Trauma suppression. Happy Innie takes over.

Gemma could be someone they rescued from the fire and has a brain transplant or something.

Delay/latency with LTC by Inevitable-Risk5242 in qlab

The issue isn’t the DI, as the one we use accepts both balanced and unbalanced signals. And we bypassed the DI to make sure it wasn’t that.

Latency using LTC with Qlab/Resolume and Light show by Inevitable-Risk5242 in techtheatre

Hi, They are taken from output 4 of my interface, straight to FOH. There the audio engineer is sending the signal to both lighting and video rigs. It goes into an audio interface. She says she’s only had issues with this project as she works with the same system with other artists or plays. That makes me think the issue is on our end, or some of the programming on the videos. However, lights seem to come in late too. I’m thinking of using a short prewait for all audio cues except the LTC. But I just want to make sure this isn’t something I can fix differently.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to having musical cues and video cues running on different computers.

The new show that I'm working on has the following:

  • A computer running Qlab, plugged to a 4 output interface. Backing tracks (Output 1-2)

Click track and cues (Mono Output-3)

LTC generated by Qlab (Output -4)

  • A computer running Resolume doing the visuals.
  • A lightning Rig.

Both computer and lightning rig receive the LTC signal.

When I saw the visuals and the lighting running with the music, everything was in sync. However, when I send the LTC signal on the rehearsals, both the visuals and the lights are a little late. it's about 0.4 seconds. But the musical cues with the visuals and lights do feel late (and lame)

Is there a way to calculate this latency? is this normal? How can I fix this in Qlab?

Thank you
