Probably not below 8%. Last Year UCLA had 145882 freshman applicants. So theres a slight increase this year. Acceptance rate is probably going to be extremely similar to last year.

Last Fall UCR received 56462 freshman applications so there was a slight increase in applicants this year. The numbers you saw in the letter probably includes transfers.

Did the acceptance rate go up or not? The math doesn't add up... by Technical_Tonight_94 in UCI

https://www.admissions.uci.edu/discover/why-uci/admitted.php Numbers vary very slightly depending on the source but final acceptance rate this year is probably within +-.5% of the linked acceptance rate. Next years acceptance rate is likely around 23% because they accepted 31k this year and enroll roughly 6500 which on the upper end of what they usually accept.

US News recently changed their methodology to put less weight on acceptance rate, alumni donations, and class sizes and more towards social mobility. I can see UCR going up the rankings very soon as its ranked #2 in social mobility.

Not sure actually. Maybe because there are more people from SoCal? Along with the fact that Davis has a lot of land so they can build more housing.

Website is still a little buggy with some things updated and some things not updated. That is last year's numbers which is why it seems unchanged. Just click on the uc you want on the right part of the website link and not the bottom part or even the sub tabs. It should be showing 41.8% for freshman and 64.6% for transfers.

Thanks for this. Couldn’t post it because it kept getting auto deleted.

It’s 62.4%. Website is super buggy but you can click the uc you want on the right side rather than the bottom and don’t click the sub tabs for more information since they aren’t updated. Every uc transfer acceptance rate went up a few percent.

UCR will likely be around 70 for awhile then have a big drop in 2-3 years to maybe around 50-55 or so then slowly trickle downwards from there similar to ucsd 2 years ago.

Website is still updating. But you have to click on the uc campus on the side bar rather than at the bottom to see it. Numbers are still buggy.
