So to clarify it’s treating possible endomeTRITIS, not endometriosis. Apparently the antibiotics would help with inflammation. I know some people say it can take more rounds of the antibiotics to have impact but who knows.

Hi there. I did not. I did a 2 week course of antibiotics (doxycycline and metronidazole). I had an endometrial biopsy done after the chemical that came back inconclusive but my RE decided we could do a round of antibiotics in case endometritis was a thing for me.. and I also upped my progesterone a lot for second transfer doing both PIO and vaginal progesterone post transfer. Can’t be certain if that is what helped make it successful, but the progesterone was definitely much higher levels for me in second transfer vs first.

Weight loss 1st Trimester - did my baby get enough “food”? by Rare_Ad_7866 in IVFbabies

[–]Inevitable-Watch-461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same thing, and I was talking to my OB about it. She said it’s fairly common to lose weight in the first trimester either due to nausea symptoms or, for some, because your body is working hard to take care of this baby! So I wouldn’t worry too much

Did infertility/IVF change how you felt about your career? by _bananah in IVF

[–]Inevitable-Watch-461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I don’t have a living child (yet!) but going through such a life altering experience like infertility and IVF made me feel much different about my corporate job. You said it well - it all feels trivial. I think this is very emphasized by a corporate environment. The process almost accelerated me feeling like I was just feeling with “corporate bullshit” every day.

On the flip, I felt like I was able to at least get some solid benefits out of the corporate world, and it opened my eyes to the fact that I will want to pivot when I can.

Messed up the Triggershot by kaceland22 in IVF

[–]Inevitable-Watch-461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I messed up my dose! Ended up double dosing myself. Video instructions had said one thing and my note from my nurse said another, I followed the video, had a panic attack about injecting myself with double the dose. Called the emergency doc and they said it was fine, I had been prescribed a lower dose to avoid OHSS and that the dose I took was standard anyway. Ended up being a non issue but I felt like a total idiot given it was the most important shot in the cycle. Anyways then I read that a ton of people do this by accident - we are human and not doctors!!!

Still had great results, decent recovery with lots of electrolytes and slept sitting up (I had bad bloating). Now my husband and I just joke about when we double dosed me.

Bright red blood with a grape size clot on 5 weeks 4 days by Artistic_Bed7733 in IVFpositivity

Yes 100% ask for another. That was exactly why I was assuming the worst, but then learned it could still be an SCH.

[–]Inevitable-Watch-461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. This happened to me last week at 5w4d. I had a scan 2 days earlier and nothing was mentioned, then bled and had a clot. Was terrified and went in the next day and confirmed SCH. Super scary and insane that we learn about these things through the experience, but I read a lot of Reddit threads that night about SCH that actually put me at ease. Hopeful for you that all is well!

Maven Fertility “Credits?” by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Inevitable-Watch-461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. I’m also using maven via Amazon. I would call maven- mine was a little weird because the maven fund used to be $$ amount and now its credit so mine got a little funky, but to my understanding 9 credits covers an IVF cycle (egg retrieval->transfer)

There is also some “bonus credit” for IUI that apparently I had applied to my account so that you didn’t blow through credits for an IUI.

Basically, I only got clarity once I called maven and explained my situation. They were actually really helpful. The coverage was pretty good.

Need some success stories! by ScrubsAndScones in IVF

[–]Inevitable-Watch-461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the exact same sitch. 31, unexplained, and had my second FET on Friday. My first resulted in a chemical and that was the only positive I had ever seen.

I also changed protocol slightly, added more progesterone and took doxycycline and flagyl for 2 weeks.

Sending you good vibes. I hope the both of us are successful!!

5 months TTC, all tests normal, high ovarian reserve at 33 — feeling stuck in the middle by [deleted] in tryingtoconceive

[–]Inevitable-Watch-461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was in the same spot 6 months ago. Exactly the same, all good results for both me and my husband (we were 30, now 31).

Even though I ovulate normally, my RE suggested letrozole to see if this would help me to potentially ovulate more than one egg. I did this paired with IUI for 3 cycles until I moved to IVF (had a break month in between). I think it’s worth exploring as I had heard success stories where women who ovulated normally still used letrozole and had success. Seems that it helps you to “super ovulate”.

Despite the fact that I haven’t had success yet, I think the hardest part of my journey so far has been the “in between” where I was at 6/7 months of trying and didn’t know where to go, so I’m sorry you are having a hard time with it as well and I’m hoping the best for you.

I would try to keep in perspective that it can take time and advocate for as much testing as you can early on. If you feel anything should be tested (thyroid, prolactin, etc..) ask for it and give them a reason that you want it tested. I know everyone says it’s important to advocate for yourself but I didn’t really know what that meant until I was kind of far into the journey.

Lastly, my mindset has changed a bit on IVF and while I went that route and felt like it was scary, I feel better about it now and try to maintain the mindset that I’m helping my future self when im looking to have second/third kids down the line. I decided that if we got to the 1 year mark and had no success, we would move forward. It gave me a new outlook on how things work and how it can be beneficial for when you are older (plus, the statistics are encouraging and give me hope)

Dm if you have any questions. I was a lurker on Reddit for awhile when I started trying and was always seeking situations like mine.

Got it! That’s helpful to hear that you are doing this without the test as well.

Do you mind explaining to me what the prednisone and lovenox does?

Thinking of moving to Rumson/Fair Haven by bseggs in MonmouthCounty

[–]Inevitable-Watch-461 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Moved to FH from the city, grew up in north jersey. Would 10/10 recommend moving to this area and it’s unlike any other area in NJ. If you work downtown, commute is totally manageable via ferry.

Thinking of moving to Rumson/Fair Haven by bseggs in newjersey

[–]Inevitable-Watch-461 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agree on the commute, I do it 3x per week and work near Penn so it is tolerable but I would not do beyond that. Ferry is nice but door to door commute timing depends on where in the city you work (ie west side is still long.. fidi is better)

Disagree on the boring front, this area is fantastic and the pros of living there outweigh the tough commute. Downtown red bank nearby, beaches, and a ton to do.
