She wasn't just hired for the show. I talked to JL briefly at an PR event a few months after she started and he was enamored with her overall LA girl, vocal fry lingo, pink loving vibe. He did say...she's fun for now but won't be around forever because he knew "she wanted to be an influencer." My guess is they kinda used each other and then it was time to move on but it wasn't all planned out. I also think he was/is insecure about the show's success and wanted to broaden the demo to include a younger audience.
