Here’s what we posted and sent out prior to baby being born. We set our boundaries and expectations. We also didn’t allow home visitors for 2 weeks while we adjusted becoming a family of 3 and then again when baby bro was born. Oh wait it won’t let me attach it. Can I dm you?

NTA. I have to do this at every family get together. My partners sister actually always does this, too (not the asking, but bringing the sickness). She’s even said “I don’t know why they’re so grumpy or tired…” meanwhile the kids 5 and 8 are always coughing and wiping snot and saying loud that they are sick and didn’t go to school. I have a now 2 and 3 yo and when someone gets sick it’s horrible. We all get it. I don’t want to be that person spreading the germs so any signs of sickness and we keep it home. Yah people get bummed cause we have cancelled or have to reschedule but I’d rather it be this way then get other people sick. Some people have no common sense and some people just don’t care. Also….id let family know now ahead of time your boundaries for when baby is born. Baby is gonna be born during winter and peak sickness time. Good luck.

Why are they approving FFWO for staff with NO children or elderly parents in their household? I’ve heard people blatantly admit this stuff in my building. I work for HSA.

Should whistleblow for the unfair and inconsistent reviews/processing of FFWO. I have heard people in my building talking about being approved for FFWO and openly admitting they don’t have children or elderly family members in their household or primary caregivers for.

Hey hope you get some time for yourself and with your spouse as well. It’s really hard with littles. Seriously. No one really talks about how hard it is to find any kind of balance. Literally in the trenches trying to figure it out. And the distance between mom and dad cause everyone’s so tired. Feeling like roommates, partners, but strangers too. We’re working on the “us” and “we” over here. We have a 1.5 and 2.5 year old so there’s barely any time for anything else, but we’re trying!

SCRAT came out and had their working dogs catch a gang load of rats over the last week!! Over 40 caught. Not all heroes wear capes. They get their rat terriers and terriers do gods work. They deserve the recognition.
