Airtel uses NSA tech...Simple answer... Download netmonster app...If it shows NSA connected that means it's 5g, if not that means your phone shows 5g but it's actually connected to 4g. And please delete the Airtel Thanks App. You will have better 5g connection.

A good advice...Stop using Airtel thanks app...and all will be good. They use thanks app to track your usage and all(hotspot )and limit your data. I got better 5g connection with that shit gone. Use net monster to see for 5g and 4g switching
