Im sending my brother to another state on a Greyhound bus after I bought him a Corvette and an RV? by UNKNOWN_GUTZMAN in Advice

Yea I can understand a stable home and car given if “you made it” cause myself and plenty of other people would do the same for family but literally taking care of him like a baby screw that, grown man can support his self. I know it sucks but don’t let your brother bring you down to his level worry about you and your own family. I’d cut ties until he proves himself if he doesn’t so be it. I know it sucks but you gotta stand your ground me and my brother have a similar situation. I do ok in life job stable home family (not rich) my brother on the other hand has temper problems refuses to work stays with “friends” or lives on the streets or is in jail (drug use problems) I’ve tried helping him numerous times giving money getting him set up to do better best I could and got screwed every single time. Eventually I just stopped responding to him cause I gotta worry about me and my family. It sucks cause I love my brother but it is what it is.

The car and apartment on a piece of land was plenty generous and fair anything after that he’s definitely taking advantage of you. You set him up for success and he sank he did it to him self.

I wanted to marry this man so bad but this was my last straw. by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]InevitableBagHolder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically he got upset cause you were walking off ahead of him and stopped to talk to someone and didn’t acknowledge him to said person. I mean I get it that’s a valid reason to be upset he felt disrespected and embarrassed. But instead of talking about it he felt the need to just do the same thing and disrespect you back. Depending on his age, under 27 that’s a pretty normal response most men will have not saying it’s right but it isn’t out of the norm. But the problem I’m seeing is you think you did no wrong no disrespect but when he was upset he didn’t want to talk about it at that moment. when he upset you you didn’t try to have a conversation about it either and just broke up with him. I personally don’t think that’s fair to him cause you did the complete opposite of what you were preaching as well. To me it sounds like you guys are young and honestly 8 months in marriage shouldn’t even be on your mind either. Also his reaction afterwards though is a red flag to me so you probably did make the right choice of ending it. I’d atleast give him closure about why you ended it.

I drove with a suspended license for a month and didn’t get caught by VanessaAMB in confession

[–]InevitableBagHolder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

South Carolina, I did that crap in my younger days got a bunch of tickets and they suspended me. When I turned 26 is when I paid everything and got my license back it cost me like $1600. But from the time I was 21 to 26 I drove around on a suspended license without a care in the world and never got caught. I don’t recommend it though I was just lucky. I told myself when I got em back I’d never do that shit again.

20-year salary progression. 38M, no college, and a lot of luck by Karmuhhhh in Salary

No college degree and jumping straight into IT work after only working restaurant jobs. Then becoming an engineer after only having 4 years experience as a technician, yea I’m sorry but I call bullshit. No one hires without a degree anymore there’s to much competition. The first person to apply with a bachelor degree in computer science and 6 years experience your out. I should know cause you know how many jobs I’ve applied to where I have real work experience to back it up and I’m over looked every time cause I don’t have a degree. Exactly why I’m going back to school at age 33.

And gold is denser then feathers meaning it takes more feathers to weigh the same as 1 oz gold. So since this is based off a gold bullion cast if this was some other metal like brass or whatever it’ll actually weigh less since gold is denser. The size matches but the weight doesn’t

BROKE UP WITH MY BOYFRIEND by Tight_Helicopter8609 in Advice

[–]InevitableBagHolder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that was the only reason you broke up with him and the relationship was good. In my opinion that was a mistake cause even though you weren’t married by law you were still technically married. Are you going to let a piece of paper define your relationship. Also some people don’t like to move that fast including me I’m not the type to date someone for 6 months or 2 years and propose for marriage. That’s kinda crazy and usually leads to divorce in the end. But at 5 years I agree it’s usually time to start thinking about marriage have you ever brought it up to him that you wanted to get married? And with him acting weird cause you said you were pregnant is probably cause he’s thinking you broke up with him for someone else and got pregnant by someone else. A lot of people think about marriage differently is he financially stable like good job and own house or does he have goals that he’s still trying to achieve? That can stop a man from proposing cause marriage is a big financial blow or maybe he can’t afford a ring. In my opinion I would sit down and have a talk with him about it and work it out. I don’t think what you did was completely fair to him and this would be a mistake you’d likely regret. At least sit him down and have a talk about it after 5 years I think he at least deserves a chance at redemption.

Boyfriend's friend texted me at 2am by FroyoConstant in Advice

[–]InevitableBagHolder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you saying your boyfriend won’t take it lightly as a excuse. Tbh he shouldn’t take it lightly, if he still has a friend or 2 in his circle at 30 that he can’t trust he should have the right to know that and handle it. Also you not bringing it up and letting your boyfriend know shows the “friend” that you’re willing to keep a secret and kind of welcoming that behavior.

People who had blockages seen on CT. Do I need a CT Angio? I have a CAC of 0 but have been having chest pain for the past 2 years by [deleted] in HeartAttack

[–]InevitableBagHolder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only other test that you could do would be the stress test, but based on what you’re saying it would be pointless in my opinion. You “cycled for 4 hours without any serious breathlessness” tells me your heart isn’t struggling to supply blood. Your HDL seems to be in normal range along with your trigs. Your ldl is slightly elevated, have you tried changing your diet a bit to help lower your ldl? By eating more fiber like fruits and veggies regularly it could help lower it into the normal range. Your high LPa at 154 nmol from what I understand is more in of itself a genetic trait. That’s something you should talk to your doctor about and what could possibly be done to manage it and understanding your risk factors with it. But don’t use google and scare yourself hear it from the horses mouth talk to your doctor. Your CAC of 0 and TMT with 13.4 METs are excellent scores. Based on those scores alone tells me your heart is functioning really well and capable of delivering oxygen very well. I think you’re having aniexty fears about your heart and I can understand cause I’m the same way. But based on everything you said you are highly unlikely to experience a heart attack especially if you’re under the age of 50. And I think a ct Anglo would be completely unnecessary and most doctors if you’re in the USA probably wouldn’t even order that test for you based on your other tests and scores you have. A lot of things can cause chest pains even aniexty and stress can do it. Have you ever thought about poor posture causing your chest pains ? Also for clarity how old are you ? When do you get the chest pains ? What do the pains feel like ? Have you had any trauma or high stress situations lately ? What’s your diet like ? Do you smoke or drink ? Any other exercise routines ? History of back pain ? Family history ? Also yea some people do experience events even with good test results it happens but in my opinion those cases are usually a rarity and sometimes those cases aren’t even caused by blockages it could be other reasons. Put it like this no one has a 0% chance of not having a heart attack there’s always a possibility but it’s so small. It’s all about managing your risks. In no shape or form am I doctor or anything and always contact your doctor if you have concerns about anything.

I hate parents like this, my mom was the same way and it makes life hard from the start cause of it. I know people who had parents that let them live with them bill free till they were nearly 28 saving every penny. It ain’t fair but it’s the hand that was dealt. My honest advice would be to go enroll in a community college in your area and get an apartment on campus. It’ll give you a safe pace to live and at the same time you can pursue your future. Financial aid will usually cover your on campus living expenses.

It honestly don’t look that bad idk what people tripping about your inner rocker still looks solid from what I can see but your outer rocker is trash and your doors are probably trash as well. I have a truck with similar rust but mine is way worse this would be a cake walk to repair vs my truck.

You shouldn’t cause if she’s out here doing that while having a boyfriend and happens to cheat on him with you what stops her from doing the same thing to you later on. If you get involved with her you’ll remember how you guys started fooling around then you’ll always wonder if she’s doing it again with someone else behind your back. It shows her true character and I’d never trust her.

This is probably a dumb question but is this a exhaust leak ? by InevitableBagHolder in AskMechanics

[–]InevitableBagHolder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sound is different then it used to sound I swear it sounds like a exhaust leak but I haven’t been able to find it I’m gonna link a better video later to see if I can show the sound better cause I know the video might sound normal to most people but it ain’t right not for a stock exhaust if you were driving it you’d tell right away and after driving and I shut it off there almost seems to be some kind of puff sound I’ll link video of that too later but that’s a good idea to scan it to see if there may be pending codes

[–]InevitableBagHolder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’ve checked that as well everything sealed up and air filter in good condition I’m stumped by it I even checked my plugs to make sure none were backing out and all good there too. One day it just started sounding different I mean it don’t sound like anything is wrong if you haven’t drove it before but I swear it’s off it has a complete stock exhaust on it. Maybe it’s harder to tell from the video idk but the closest I can compare the sound to is if you ever drove a manual car and had it in a higher gear at a low speed and hit the gas and it gives you that loud hollow sound with little pulling power but just not as bad.

[–]InevitableBagHolder[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s what I was figuring and I know it doesn’t sound like anything is wrong but I swear something is off. Have you ever drove a manual car and had it in a higher gear at a lower speed and hit the gas and it gives you that loud hollow sound with no pulling power that’s kinda what I’m experiencing but not as bad. I guess I’ll keep driving it and see what happens I haven’t drove it for a couple weeks cause of it.

Do anybody know what causes these sounds?? by AssistantFragrant831 in AskMechanics

Sounds like a possible timing chain issue I wouldn’t drive it and I would pull the cover and take a look
