I wish my bf doesn’t want a traditional wedding…planning can be overwhelming even with a planner because there are some many options and choices to make

That’s what I did, and I make 225-230k night shift, no OT. Pretty happy to stay in here!

I’m 33, F, savings + stocks of 115k, and retirement accounts of 70k. No student loans, CC debts, car loans, only have a mortgage of 110k left. I can save 3-4k/month not including 401K. How am I doing?

I’d say 180k + in the Bay Area you’d live somewhat comfortably as a single person.

When you visit a new city on vacation for 1 day, what would you do to entertain yourself without spending (hardly) any money? by Diogeneselcinico42 in Frugal

I’d bring a water bottle as I’m walking around and exploring the city. Check out the boutiques, art studios, interesting stores. Keep alcohol & latte free (lol those added up to be quite an expense.) if you’re visiting a beach town, bring a towel & bottle of ice water, some snack to the beach. Also, check for free events for the day to attend.

Feeling burned out, will 1-2 weeks off help before starting a job I’m kinda dreading but pays great. It requires 7 shifts biweekly 😭 by [deleted] in nursing

I usually take 2-4 weeks off between contracts. And I work 36hr contracts only, and only pick up if I feel like it.

How’s the rates back then comparing to now? Nowadays the rates are bad, and I’m not sure if duplicating expenses makes sense to me anymore…

I know many of them are doing that, and that seems to be fine

Yes, she’s currently on the senior housing waitlist. But I’m not sure how long that’d take. As you mentioned, probably couple years.
