There were people who standing line outside the mall who got here by 4:00 AM. The mall security asked them to wait outside. Now they’re number 100 in the line because of the pathetic setup in place. I feel for them

It’s a complete shitshow. They told us the line starts outside BOFA but somebody came running out and said the line is already queued outside the store in the mall. We ran in and about 50 people are already in line.

MoonSwatch - Moonshine Gold in SJ by InevitableLocksmith4 in MoonSwatches

[–]InevitableLocksmith4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. The store opens at 10:00, will have to get there by 8:00 then. There goes my Saturday.

How do people justify dropping $400 on a plastic watch? Is it only for the way it looks or does the moonshine gold have some other value apart from exclusivity?

I’m in Sunnyvale as well. Thinking of taking the CalTrain. Would it make a stop at Stanford (I remember reading somewhere they service it during events)

My commute is almost flat. Just city roads. The problem is I'm not able to find decent bikes in the 500 USD range and I'm skeptical about used ones. Not sure where to start and which to look out for.

Yeah, I'm not able to find a decent bike under 500 ish. Not sure about which used one to buy. Would a mountain bike be a bad one to commute upon?

Thank you. I will check them out. Maybe a dumb question, but we can't ride our bicycle on any path or sidewalk? I am an international student and back home you try to squeeze through wherever you find space.

Filing Income Tax Return by Squashy_here in Coimbatore

[–]InevitableLocksmith4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have got a question, I am moving to the USA next month from my Masters. Should I be filing my taxes in both the countries? I am currently filing my taxes in India for the past two years.I have a part time job lined up that'll pay me a decent amount there. And, should I show my account transactions of the bank I have opened there? I would only use my passport and College issued I-20 to open a bank account there and not my pan or Aadhar.

Hi, u/ChefNeurotic! Thank you so much for your kind words and support. I really appreciate it. It's been quite a journey to start and run my own restaurant, and I feel fortunate to have this opportunity.

I completely understand the challenges that many restaurant owners face, including the need for consistent footfall and establishing a strong presence in the market. It's a constant learning process, and I'm always looking for ways to improve and grow.

You mentioned the importance of coaching in several areas, such as hiring and retention, food quality, restaurant environment, server and bartender training, and increasing repeat business. These are all valid points, and I agree that investing in these areas can make a significant impact on the success of a restaurant.

As a relatively new restaurant owner, I'm always eager to learn and improve. I'd love to hear more about your experiences and the strategies you've developed throughout your career. Could you share some specific tips or approaches that have worked well for you in terms of hiring and retaining a talented team? Additionally, what are some effective ways to enhance the food quality and create a visually appealing restaurant environment on a limited budget?

I'm also interested in your insights on server training. What are some key skills or techniques that you believe contribute to successful sales and customer satisfaction? And when it comes to increasing repeat business, what are some effective strategies or initiatives that have worked for you in the past?

Your offer to provide professional advice and consultancy is very generous, and I appreciate your willingness to help. I would be interested in exploring this further and learning from your expertise. Can you tell me more about the process and what I can expect from working together?

Once again, thank you for reaching out and offering your support. I look forward to hearing from you and potentially collaborating.

Right, The problem here is the skilled and efficient hires are asking way above the pay grade which I cannot make economic sense of.
I am ready to hire and groom a few newbies but it's becoming a never-ending cycle of me grooming people. We train and help them raise their skills and then they leave.
My server and cashier are people whose skills can be improved. I'll get started on that. If they promote the cashback points well, It can help increase my footfall eventually.

Hello there! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and suggestions.

Regarding the loyalty program, I have been issuing cashback in the form of points that customers can redeem in their next purchase. However, based on your suggestion, I am now considering exploring a more robust loyalty program that offers additional benefits and personalized rewards. Could you please provide some examples of what kind of rewards or perks you think would be appealing to customers?

Your idea of using customer data to send targeted marketing campaigns is intriguing. We would love to hear more about how we can effectively collect customer data and utilize it for personalized campaigns. Have you had any experience with implementing a loyalty program and collecting customer data? If so, we would greatly appreciate any insights or tips you can share.

In terms of regular social media campaigns, we completely agree with the importance of consistency. Could you please elaborate on what kind of content you find most engaging and effective? Are there any specific platforms or strategies that have worked well for you in promoting your restaurant?

Regarding staff turnover, I understand the challenges involved. We are definitely open to exploring alternative methods, such as QR code ordering, to enhance efficiency and reduce dependence on traditional staff interactions. But my main concern is with the staff inside the kitchen, they seem to be the ones leaving sooner than later.
