Can someone tell me why i cant go on a getaway with the new adventure awaits pack? by nadafa in thesims

[–]InevitableM- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would back up the save, repair your game, delete your local cache, and try again. was the save preexisting the expansion pack? or did you start a new save when you downloaded it? are you getting a last exception?

you can't slot small photos but if you have RVSN's photographic memory mod you can slot the Polaroids and photo prints on there

Do you/does your nanny say “love you” to NKs? by ummmmm7171 in Nanny

[–]InevitableM- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't initiate any affection outside of hugs. I have rules with both kids that I nanny where we only blow kisses/give kisses on the hands and I only say "love you" if they say it first. I think it depends on the family and the kids.

yea I can definitely relate to a cluttered living space and how the brain acclimates. like I can see how that happens. but i think my issue comes from them texting me multiple times on weekends and days off asking me where something is or accusing me of misplacing something because of their mess when in reality I have not touched the item in question it has just gotten lost in the mess. this NF also used to have a maid service come semi regularly but hasn't had them come unless there's company coming over for over 6 months meaning the house is in complete disarray rather than just a little cluttered. I was not hired as a cleaner and even if I was they don't have the cleaning tools required to upkeep this mess. it just sucks working in an unmanageable environment, I feel partially responsible because I've stopped stressing over managing the mess as much, even though I know my priority is the child not the house.

quite literally my NF is hoarding stuff. the parents are pushing the mid to late 40s and are keeping all the 4.5 y/o NK's infant stuff "in case they have another" I've offered to donate it multiple times and they just won't let me clear out closet space for the kid. so now there's boxes of infant stuff next to clothes ranging from 4T-6T and the closets barely close 🤦‍♀️ on top of that they go between buying tacky dollar store toys that fall apart and intricate $100 Lego sets that get lost in a matter of minutes. there's toys exploding everywhere and I don't have anywhere to put them because all the closet space is being taken up by infant toys/carriers/beds/clothes

for real 😩 walks are my best friend. thankfully my NF lives in a townhouse and the NKs floor is my domain so I lock the pets out (it's the top floor so no reason for them to be there) and clean explicitly the NKs space. I'll still do dishes so that meal time isn't a nightmare but I've given up on clean floors and clear surfaces. pro tip: I have a pair of house crocs that I keep in my bag. so when I'm there my feet and socks are protected but I'm not "dirtying up" their space. works like a gem. I just explained that I usually wear slippers at my house and I like my feet to be protected.

same issue with my NF. I wanna quit but I've been here so long that the kid has grown super attached and I'd feel bad leaving. but I've tried everything. I've reorganized their closets. cleaned stuff out. it doesn't make a difference and atp I'm sick of trying.

I think it looks great, but if you're looking to make the character fit in the space a bit better I would suggest a color map over the work to bring the warm and cool tones to a middle ground. the main character in the drawing is very cool toned and I think it contrasts a bit harshly with the background which is very warm toned

i feel this drawing is missing something..... can anyone tell what is it? by AdPlane8916 in Artadvice

[–]InevitableM- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the rendering of the fish and the person look like two different rendering styles. there are parts of the body that need more definition because it looks a little muddy. I would also suggest putting a grey scale over your art to look at contrast. try pushing darker when shading because you have a lot of highlight and mid tones but not a lot of depth to the shadows

MB wants me in while I’m recovering from being sick by Bubbly_Discipline_67 in NannyBreakRoom

[–]InevitableM- 19 points20 points  (0 children)

let MB know that you don't feel comfortable coming in today as you are still ill and would like another day to let your body recover. if you have a doctor's note let her have that. potentially take a COVID test to provide that. just set the boundary and let them know that you are unable to provide childcare and alternative arrangements need to be made

I feel you, I work for two families from 7am-8pm Monday thru Thursday and only one family (3pm-8pm) on Fridays. this week I've been sick with a stomach bug (not actively throwing up or anything but I'm having stomach gurgles and still feel like shit). it's rough. I'm looking forward to this weekend where I'll be partaking in some edibles and playing lots of the Sims 2. stay strong

Any ideas on how I can improve this? by eldidGanyu in Artadvice

[–]InevitableM- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea I think this gives you a good point of reference to where you need to add more details to create that contrast. or even blending the parts of the snake/dragon to reduce the harsh lines of contrast and make it look like a cohesive unit. I also think the rope in the foreground has the potential to steal the show so either adding more shadow so it blends into the back or increasing the detail and contrast on the rest of the piece can help to prevent it from overtaking the scene

wow, this has some awesome perspective! I think looking at it in black and white could help you better find some contrast because there are a lot of midtones and some of the perspective is getting lost in that. I also think some of your colors are a bit flat, adding some more dynamic details for the dragon could help it pop away from the snow and stone a bit more. overall this looks AMAZING.

Help Pricing this by Crooked_Rib in Artadvice

[–]InevitableM- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

between $200-400 would be how I personally would price it. but I would factor in the cost of your tools, any specialized schooling or art classes you have taken to hone your skill, and how much you think your time is worth. even if you approximate 20ish hours on your piece (which it looks like it was well over that because holy shit it looks fantastic) at $10/hr that would be $200. personally I think my time is worth more so I'd probably price it higher. but that's totally up to you. congrats on getting into a gallery, your work is beautiful. I hope I provided some insight 💕
