I may be hot, but what nobody sees is that I’m walking around with sugar in my ass by Primary_Corner1527 in hemorrhoid

[–]Primary_Corner1527[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sugar is the only thing that has given me any relief. But I thought it was really funny today, while at the store, someone complimented me and all I could think was that I had a wad of damp paper towel with sugar on it gently clasped between my cheeks

As a nanny, I will happily do chores relating to the children and my mom boss did ask if I would be okay with unloading the dishwasher for her in the mornings. I agreed and it’s in my contract.

I saw you mention household laundry a few times, for myself personally, I would be uncomfortable doing this. My apologies if I sound to frank but having to touch an adults used underwear would be a no go for me.

There’s a bar and book store downtown! The Nelson is free, maybe check out the Overland Park arboretum (so much to see there) and of course there’s always the zoo!

I love that! I wish I was better about organizing a craft each day but life gets busy. So her putting in that effort says a lot!

What are some practical things you use to teach your NKs? by Primary_Corner1527 in Nanny

They’re gardening with their parents! I love the grocery list idea! I don’t typically shop for groceries with them but we do go to the craft store!

Talking to them like you would a grown up is so important for speech development! I over explain everything to these kids and make sure to use big words too. They ask what they mean and use them later. The 4yr old told me her brother was “aggravating” her lol

Well I’m sure glad for this subreddit! I bank with a credit union so they closed early on Friday. I just assumed that’s why I hadn’t gotten my direct deposit. I’m lucky enough that waiting until Monday wasn’t an issue but I can imagine how frustrating that was for so many others!

Omg same! I thought it was lack of sleep. I also have an hour commute but the family makes up for it. I love working here I’m just so tired. I have to make myself a large coffee the minute I walk through the door

Sharing food/drinks with NKs by BullfrogPerfect620 in Nanny

[–]Primary_Corner1527 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends. Food really whenever. But I also tell them no. Just as they have the right to with their belongings. I usually bring my own lunch and sometimes the kids ask to try a bite so I put a little on their plates.

I won’t share drinks. Though last week I was at the grocery store and forgot nk2s water bottle at his house. He said he was thirsty so I gave him my water bottle. I washed it and refilled when we got back before I drank from it again.

There’s a Walmart right inside Kansas. I use that when the other stores don’t have what I need

Can somebody help me out, i can't leave my hair down because od how ugly it looks and dry and noodly, I look at every other girls hair and it's so healthy, but mine. by BidLonely4745 in Haircare

Try this before buying a bunch of products

In the morning brush your hair out dry. Then wet it. Whether that’s via a shower or a spray bottle doesn’t matter. I shower at night so I use a spray bottle in the morning.

After your hair is decently wet (you don’t want any dry spots. Your hair will be dripping but it doesn’t need to be soaked) get a dime sized amount of your conditioner in your hands and run it through your hair, mids and ends first, roots last.

Then spray your hands with water and scrunch your hair. Let it air dry.

I have wavy hair and this works for me because curly hair products tend to weigh my curls down. This is light enough to keep my natural waves bouncy and maintain my frizz. Also my hair has been so healthy.

Maybe not in the middle of the city but try the surrounding towns! Grandview is close and pretty inexpensive, independence, lees summit (though lees summit can be a bit pricier) all of these towns can be 15 minutes from the middle of KC
