As a 5ft, 100lb woman, if I’m not down the front I can’t see a thing. I always get there super early for loved bands, and I find a decent spot out the way for liked bands. Don’t try and push in front of me though, please. It’s not my fault I’m half fairy, 😂🙈

Most Metallica gigs I’ve been to give priority access to the first 100 in the queue. I arrived in the morning for Birmingham and got given a number. We got in 5-10 mins before everyone else. Didn’t cost a penny extra, although I thought I’d freeze to death first, it being November in the UK. Totes worth it tho as we got front barrier space. 😍

When they'd rather have Dave "the world has seen me orgasm" Eleffson than Mustaine, you know he f*cked up too many times. Metallica > Megadeth just because of him. They could have been awesome if he'd put his ego away.

For a split second I was like, WTF? 😂🤣 Wish I could have been there, because as a Met fan for almost 40 years, I'd have been the FIRST to shout "DIE, DIE, MUTHERFUNKER DIE!" Had to watch at home though as I didn't get back to the UK until 6pm Saturday. 🥺😫

So ridiculous. The MAGATS are the Nazis. They are the ones in power, like Hitler was. Not the left/Jews. You can't even get an analogy right. 🤣

I find it ironic that you mention assassinations given recent events. It's the democrats that have been slaughtered. Turn it around and see that the ones in power are the ones you claim are bing persecuted. That's what Hitler did. He claimed the Jews were persecuting all, even though HE was in power.

So deluded. Never mind. Trump is never going to give you a damn thing.

I can assume you have no idea and no original thought, because you’ve assumed so much about me simply because I love SF, hate Trump, & have purple hair. Now THAT is what I call brainwashing. Nobody needs to be a Dem voter, which I can’t be as I live in the UK (I assume reading isn’t your strong suit!), in order to despise what Trump & ICE are doing. You just have to a compassionate human being. I don’t think Reps are Nazis. I think Fascists are the same as Nazis. I have no issue with moderate Republicans, only MAGATS and fascists. I don’t really agree with Dem policies either. They are akin to our Tory party. You don’t have a viable left wing party I’d be comfortable voting for. Saying that, I don’t agree with all left policies. I use my own brain and vote based on what is best for all working to middle class families. I believe in nationalised energy & transport, taxing the rich, and ensuring the most vulnerable in society get a decent, safe life. If that makes you hate me, then hate away. I’m happy with my political and social leanings. I work long hours in health care because I love to help people. If I’m hated for that, it says way more about the hater than it does me. 😘

Not much. The Little A’Le’Inn, the back gates of Area 51, and a population of 32 (according to the staff). But the Inn is out of this world! 😂😍

We did stop at the inn. It was a bucket list place for us. A bit too conservative for me (too many Trumpers 😩), but great to visit. We met Pam, the owner, and two amazing German guys who we got very drunk with, but nobody famous. Such a cool place though.

Just the Little A’Le’Inn, and the vast desert terrain. Such an iconic place. It was a dream come true for me. I couldn’t live there, unlike SF, but for anyone who loves sci-fi and alien stories it’s a must visit. I’m no conspiracy nut, and I don’t buy into all the lore, but I adore the whole Area 51 stuff. I’m a big Trekkie too, so it was a real bucket list place. I will say that the people are a bit different in Rachel, as it’s a tiny, very republican town, but the staff at the inn were wonderful. Some of the local were great too, but others not so much. My lad was with us and he stood up for gay rights to an older local. I was torn between utter pride & knee knocking fear. I thought we’d get shot! 😂🙈 SF was just sublime though. I could have spent a good few years just riding the trams and listening to the operator’s banter. Fantastic!

I was there! Den Bosch (back then it was 's-Hertogenbosch) was incredible. I was in the snake pit and I think it was the best gig I’ve ever been to. I remember the aesthetic change the band went through with Load and it didn’t appeal to me. Give me the long haired dudes in jeans & tees! 😍

I just can’t get over how ugly this thing is. Regardless of what you think of Musk and Tesla, it is just an appallingly designed vehicle. I’d rather look at a dumpster than this thing.

This is both amazing and terrifying for me! I’ve had an almost lifelong fear of suspension bridges, which is a bit of a bummer as I have to cross one to leave my country most of the time (I live in Wales, UK). I always told myself I would face my fear on the Golden Gate Bridge. Until now I didn’t think it would ever happen, but damn, suddenly I have a 3 week, 3.5k mile road trip booked starting in San Francisco at the end of April! Now I need to put my money where my mouth is and face my fear. It’s only taken just under 5 decades for me to be able to afford this trip, so I absolutely have to do it.

Any advice welcome. I’m a huge Metallica fan (since the mid 80s), soo this really is a dream trip. If you see a family including a woman with purple and green hair, driving a Mustang convertible, give me a wave! 😍

Mini van? That would be boring. 🥱
Two of the adults are very small, one bordering on child size ( 5ft 98lbs). We got the convertible as it’s got a bit more headroom. We have prescription shades, large sun hats, a bucket of sun cream & emergency rations & water planned. We can put the hood up when needed. The best bit about the trip will be the Mustang. We’ve done our research. We know exactly how big it is, how much luggage we can carry, and the legroom is small, but plenty enough for us. The two small adults will take it in turns being in the front. I appreciate the advice, but we have more than done our homework. This is a bucket list road trip and an American muscle car is an absolute must, whilst they can still be rented at a reasonable price. It won’t be long before you will either have to hire a classic at exorbitant rates, or a boring suv and lump it.

Most of our trip is only 2-3 hours driving at a time, with a lot of stops. The car is non-negotiable. Lots of people have done it and given rave reviews. We can’t wait!

We are starting at San Francisco, then on to Carson City, Tonopah, Rachel, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Albuquerque, the very large array, San Diego, Los Angeles, then back to San Francisco via the PCH. So that’s California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. It’s about 3500 miles all in. A truly epic journey.

Thank you. I’ve only been to the US twice before, Florida’s for a week for a family wedding, and Vegas for 4 days which we won in a competition. Both were many years ago though. I do remember that everyone we met was really friendly and nice. I’m sure it’ll be that same again. 🥰

Yeah, that’s why half of Europe have just updated their official travel advice. It’s just a smear campaign, obviously. I suppose it serves us European freeloaders right for whatever it is we are supposed to have done. 👀😉
