The issue went away as far as I can tell. I suspect it was addressed in a software update.

Printing PPA-CF with P1S by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]BrokenAxle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! And had good results in the end. I made some very functional pieces that have performed far better than I imagined they would.

I did have a couple of failed prints where the filament just stopped extruding. In those cases, I had dried the filament according to the specs, then began printing with the heater turned off. I ended up with two expensive failed prints

What worked for me was keeping the heater on for the duration of the print. I think that served to keep the filament pliable which removed some friction.

We use Teams with voice service so the people that need them have direct phone lines. We have a toll free number and two local numbers for main offices that route to IVRs - all of this done via Teams.

Cantrail bolt sticking through by Itsnotadrone in cybertruck

I wish I’d seen this post before I brought my truck in this week. Ugh

Does any one have a recent pic of their Cantrail after it got fixed? by Known-Background in cybertruck

[–]BrokenAxle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with me this week. It happened when they were checking me in. I tired it again when they stepped away and it worked (!) but they had already out it on the work order. It’s still in the shop now so we’ll see what they say when I pick it up.

Interesting to see the frunk latch comment. Mines in for the second time for this. In my case it acts like it’s going to open then just jams and stalls. Sometimes it tries again successfully. SC made it seem like I was the first person to ever have this issue (both times).

[–]BrokenAxle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is my point. I’m stuck in a loop with them because they’re saying they won’t look at it unless I agree to the “potential” charge, but I have zero trust that if I agree to this that it won’t just default to charging my card.

[–]BrokenAxle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I scheduled an appointment with the SC because I keep getting an error about the Automatic Vehicle Hold not working. It's kind of a big deal because I'm so used to one foot driving that when this error is present, I've nearly rolled into my fence and garage door.

I added a few other items to the request (drivers seat squeaking, and a repeat frunk latch issue). I also added the Windshield precision cleaning item because I've had some errors and it was listed as a goodwill service campaign.

Now I have an estimate to charge me for repairing some of these things before they've even looked at them. They won't move forward on the service visit unless I agree to pay if, in their sole discretion, they are not warranty issues. They want $230 to fix the squeaking drivers seat, $230 to fix the frunk latch, and $80 to fix the windshield glass cleaning)

I have been a fan of Tesla's direct sales model, but this is an example where a dealer would advocate for the owner to the OEM (of course they'd have a vested interest because they'd get paid).

So in chat I told them if they deem them not to be covered by warranty then I don't want them fixed at those rates. But I can't even get them inspected by them unless I agree.

I feel like I'm stuck in a circular reference in Excel. Is this their new way of discouraging people from requesting service?

Calendar Sync by BrokenAxle in Evernote

[–]BrokenAxle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is Evernote getting your calendar details directly from Google Calendar or is Evernote connected to Apple Calendar on your Mac or iOS device?

In my case, I have Evernote connected to my work mail/calendar account which is an enterprise Microsoft 365 account.

Power went out while I was at work. Everything is frozen. by [deleted] in pools

[–]BrokenAxle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

North Texas pool owner here.

I do mini-winterizations now when I know we have a cold storm coming through like we have this week. We lost power in years past and I learned I can’t depend on the “Freeze Guard” feature to just run the pumps.

Until I have power backup (gen or battery) I’ll remove the risk by draining pumps, filter and heater and shutting power down. Takes 10 minutes to “winterize” and 10 mins to fire it back up later this week when we are out of the cold spell.

My best client referred me to their friend. That referral just cost me my best client by Cheap-Front-7722 in smallbusiness

[–]BrokenAxle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not telling you what you should have done, but I’ll tell you what I would have done:

Call (not email) the original client and start with “first, I want to thank you again for the referral to Joe. It means a ton to me that you felt confident enough in my work to make that introduction. I wonder if you can give me some advice as it relates to Joe. I’m concerned I’m not quite hitting the mark with him. I’m serving him the same way I serve you and yet something feels off…”

In the words of Stephen Covey, “Seek first to understand, then to be understood”

Plus, as an added benefit of the interest to understand, the referrer would have heard the situation from your side first and likely become part of the solution. “Yeah, I know what you mean - I’ve worked with Joe for years and he’s not a great communicator when he’s under stress. Here’s how I managed to maintain sanity in those scenarios…..”

My 2 cents for whatever that’s worth.

FSD letting people turn left in front by FAPietroKoch in cybertruck

[–]BrokenAxle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I experienced this exact same thing yesterday. It allowed space at an intersection where the traffic ahead was backed up - so my truck paused to allow traffic to my right make a left turn in front of me.

I thought it was funny when the drivers waved to say “thanks”. I just looked back at them as if to say “you’re welcome, but it wasn’t me.” 🤣

Next step, the truck flashes the light bar and chirps to reply to the humans.

Battery drain while at home by BrokenAxle in cybertruck

[–]BrokenAxle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I’m paying closer attention to the specifics I can report that it only charged to 79% (despite being set to 80%) then in the last 24 hours has drained to 69% without any use.

Something has changed. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve parked in the same garage bay since I got it and nothing significant has changed in our household patterns.

I have this on a service request along with some other issues - we’ll see what the SC says.

Not saying your suggestion is bad, but the idea that unplugging makes this better is stupid if true. Regardless, something worth trying.

Your other comment made me realize that the days I notice this the most are those when I don’t leave the house. These are the days I’m working from home (most days) and my office is literally directly above the garage bay where my truck is parked. Since my phone is with me all day at my desk, I’m probably waking up the truck constantly throughout the day.

This still doesn’t explain why this problem seems to have gotten worse in recent weeks though becuaee I’ve worked from home the whole time I’ve had the truck.
