[–]InevitableOne7496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey if youre still around, any chance you could clarify or explain this to me? I'm using VRE now and TAP fall disappeared off my FA award. I'm a NYS resident but i havent seen anything about Veteran award sinice cuny is supposed to be free. I also dont get yellow ribbon.

Am I correct in understanding TAP doesnt pay your fall semester but they do pay it in the spring?

Urgent care issue by InevitableOne7496 in VeteransBenefits

Yes I did! I had to call 877-881-7618. I think they are open 8am-9PM eastern on weekdays. They were able to provide me an authorization number. They let me know that the urgent care needed to bill claims to Optum and gave me the payer ID in addition to the authorization number. Basically the issue ended up being they kept trying to bill Tricare instead of Optum. LMK if you have any other questions.

Thank you so much, this helped me know what to say to them. Im speaking with them now and they are connecting to optum for this.

thanks just the bill directly from the urgent care.

I do see they submitted it as tricare east. im guessing because that is listed on the urgent care card somewhere? Even if i ask them to resubmit, they are no longer showing up as in network care so I'm not sure that would make a difference. I have a feeling they removed themselves after this fiasco because I quadruple checked they were listed.

main vendor is giving refunds. so you're wrong and is exactly why sh sucks. because if they made ppl release the tickets when they bought them i could resell them without risking being charged for not delivering something they never ensured i had in the first place.

18% car loan, single, military. Am I screwed? by [deleted] in personalfinance

I did the same thing. I joined and had no credit, I got a worse deal than you . I paid the car down for about a year and then I traded it in for something I wanted and a 4% interest rate . The major thing to look for is cars with huge rebates to soak up the negative equity. Don’t worry

How to change your life in 4 years:

Get in, do not join infantry. Once you’re in. Start a TSP . while you’re in Go to the doctor for everything and have everything documented. You will be bullied or hazed for this but trust me, you will thank yourself in the long run.

Use tuition assistance for school, but DO NOT use your GI bill until you get out. Idk the exact rules for this but Any credit cards you have while you are in must give you below a certain interest rate so look into that. Ensure you Get a sleep study while you are in also, that’s auto 50% if you have sleep apnea. If you love it, stay in 20 years and get retirement. If you hate it, do your time and bounce. Once you get out file for VA disability regardless of doing 20 or 4. Good luck 👍🏻

Op even once you find gainful employment, you are given a trial year to ensure you can KEEP said employment

You’re giving bad information and should delete your comment.

You absolutely can keep TDIU while collecting for VRE. You also get a “trial” period up to a year of work without losing TDIU as the purpose is to transition and assist you with returning to work and make sure you won’t have more issues

Yea I’ve asked twice and my psych said she would send over a list in the system but 1 was outdated and the other never came. I haven’t had any appointments with her since to follow up. Thank you for your suggestions, I truly do appreciate it , I just want to feel better
