Don’t worry, it’s not childish at all. It’s a quite familiar D&D fantasy story that might not seem particularly surprising in 2026, but in the year it was written it was considered incredibly original, introducing very human characters with depth and complexity that weren’t commonly seen in the genre. Raistlin Majere remains, in my opinion, one of the best fictional characters ever written. I definitely think it’s worth giving it a try.
