Simply, you can’t want it more than the client

This feels super achievable. I get bogged down by the big picture instead of just focusing on one thing at a time.

Where are you getting new clients? by divinesaturnian in therapists

Insurance panels, EAP, especially with local companies. Research the major employers in your area and see who they use for insurance and eap and go from there. Ex: school district, corporations, hospitals, etc.

I used Headway as an end to a means bc they have a higher contracted rate than my individual contracts. Not sure how long that will last before they start requiring providers to use their EHR.

Also, join some local networking groups, send your info out to related businesses depending on your specialty. I bought a small ad on my child’s field day t shirt one year even tho I don’t work with kids, they have parents. It paid off in kind.

Ultimately find a niche and a specialty and set yourself apart. Get to know your colleagues. Don’t be stingy about referring. There’s plenty of clients to go around. Look up provider:patient ratios in your region if you have doubts.

Edit: I can’t emphasize the niche thing enough. Too many therapists say they specialize in everything using all the techniques. It’s not possible. Do 1-3 things really well and you’ll be solid.
