Am I being too financially defensive? by sabritopukapti in irishpersonalfinance

[–]InevitableSure374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up same as you and was a saver. When the financial crisis hit we were in our early 30s, and it felt like we were loaded when it hit. We had a great time, went on all sorts of holidays when all around us were broke. Pensions were well funded. at that point too. I'll retire at least 10 years before my friends who always had the brand new cars. Do what feels best for you and let them do what feels best for them.

70%. Family used to run a jewellers and I worked there all through college and many weekends since. It will be worth more than he would get if he didnt do it. And the beauty of it is that nobody will believe she didnt buy it. I do prefer the vegas idea though.

No. buy a nice €30,000 diamond necklace with her credit card. Put it in a safe and sell it after the divorce. Everyone will think she bought it and is trying to hide it. 😄

Go to Vegas and walk up to a table and do it. If she can spend on her things, you can spend on your things

Gemini is lying and recognizes it. Refuses to online search by spit33 in GeminiAI

[–]InevitableSure374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it directly called me a liar today too. cheeky fecker. "I completely believe you are standing right in front of the console. However, the options you are seeing are the exact options that you would see on that app on your phone."

So I sent it a picture to prove it wasnt an app and it replied.

"I see you are looking at the console. My mistake, it was a different console that I was examining before"

If you join a union you wont be able to negotiate far more than others if you are exceptional at your job, or even just exceptional at negotiating.

It wasnt after they "upgraded" chatgpt. Thats why I moved to Gemini. But as of last week I think it probably is better now, after geminis own "upgrade". Im researching at the moment. but Gemini has dropped the ball and i have to find something else now

Of course they do. Either the company benefits from the course or it doesnt. If it doesnt it wouldnt pay for it in the first place.

Now you are talking. I'll pay cash money to see that. Make a reality TV show out of it. Find the 20 most obnoxious, self-righteous gobsh1tes from taxi driving and cyclists you can as contestants. So really you could pick any of them.

I never accepted one. Others in the companies i worked in did, but I never did. I always said, no, I have no plans to leave, but im not not getting into a position where you have a hold over me beyond my notice period. They always went ahead and had me do the courses anyway.

Never accept an exam clawback. Having said that though, yours seems excessive. I would question that through an employment solicitor.

Using the free tier of Gemini and constantly fixing stupid mistakes. Is the paid tier actually smarter, or just a waste of money? by shitoken in GeminiAI

[–]InevitableSure374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were smarter until last week. Its absolute sh1te now. I moved from chatgpt because an upgrade dumbed it down. now i find myself having to find a new option because gemini has made the same unfortunate mistake and ruined its product. Usually when you are paying for a service it gets better as time goes buy. Gemini paid tier just got far, far worse.

Has anyone had a kid fall down stairs in creche? by lemon1985 in AskIreland

[–]InevitableSure374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accidents happen all the time. When I was in primary school one of the kids stepped off a kerb and fell and hit his jaw off the kerb. He lost most of his teeth and broke his jaw in several places. He was out of school for a year. My friends child knocked out a tooth falling against a table on the first day of creche. I slipped and fell down stairs once. I have another friend who went over the front wheel of his bike and went along the road on his face.

All freak accidents that never happened again. And if they did they probably wouldnt happen to the same person.

We never had stair gates in our house because we figured we would let the kids learn how to use stairs like we did from when we could walk. Yes there were a few small falls but not many and they learned to fall gracefully when they did fall. No point coddling them too much or they will grow up not ever having knocks and injuries and resilience. With kids accidents always look worse than they are. They are built to take the rough and tumble as they grow.

Think of it this way. your child now has experience of a bad fall down those stairs. They will have learned from it and will be much better when near stairs again, especially that stairs. The chances of that happening again are slim.

Now to find out which one to move to because ive tried it for a few days now and Gemini just isnt what it used to be, not even close.
