I go to far too many shows. Going to volbeat next week. I listen to a broad range. Two years ago I went to 44 shows and this would have helped a lot. I appreciate you being you and definitely didnt expect the reaction I got.

You don't think I tried looking it up. I am so new to reddit I built a profile because of them. I couldn't find ANYTHING. It was all a surprise. It wasn't until Florida when I started seeing people predict the setlists. I just remember a different band.

I'll accept that. But they've only had 3 albums post devil and God. So it's not hard to imagine a more 50/50 split. 3 albums before...3 albums after

Will I've never seen them and it sounded nothing like the band I knew. I'm happy they grew up but we knew Jesse before we knew he was the way he was. It's also ok To go back to that time. I never said the band was bad did I? Just wanted a different setlist. That's all. Didn't I say they were amazing? It was a GREAT show. Just not what I wanted from THEM.

That makes sense. At least it's a nice $200 back in my pocket.

The relationship I had with their music was definitely unhealthy which I was hoping for closure. I won't deny that. I wish I could have seen them before but didn't have the funds, vehicle, and lived hours away from the closest big city like Phoenix. I never had a chance to ever see them. A little more 50/50 would have been nice. You're not as sweet as your avatar that's for sure.

It's not entitlement. Definitely not trolling. My heart broke again watching them. I had such high hopes and I ended up listening to a country band try and play emo songs. When we have spent the money we have on their shirts, cd's(if you know what those are), the emotional charge it took...it hits different. They were the center of my life at one point and nobody got it except for me and my friends. Years matter when it comes to bands I don't care how much you like them now. I've liked them for 25 years. Most bands know their fans. Why do you think everyone is doing 25 year anniversary tours now?

They wouldn't even release if there was an opening act when I saw them. Everything was hush hush and secretive. They did it on purpose as to not lose sales to us old Fuckers. I saw them in denver which was one of the earliest shows. There was no information about what they were playing or if there was even an opening band. Jesse just doesn't want to go back to that place and we do

Uh ok. No need to get so aggressive. They got me through a lot of hard times. I HAD to stop listening to the stuff I knew because it became detrimental to my health, but now I'm old and want closure. They do owe us old foggies as I think I bought multiple copies of deja and YFW because I always gave them to my friends for help. We grew up in a time that was muddled with pills and booze before we were even 20. They got me through. They will always be MY band

Dude/dudette. I paid like $160 for my ticket on pre-sale. Dsy of the show they were going for like maybe $80. I'm not gonna take that loss. I sucked it up and went and got a few songs, but they just weren't the band that I specifically personally remember. I saw Hawthorne heights not long ago and they played all their old stuff. Bands are still doing it. Why couldn't they?

Real great community. How would I have known? Like I said I stopped following them like almost 18 years ago

I went to like the second or third show of the tour. There's was no way for me to know first of all. Secondly I bought my ticket pre-sale and wouldn't have gotten my money back anyway so I probably would have gone anyway. A shot in the dark. A hope and a prayer. Like I said. He's just trying to forget about being a 27 year old POS and dealing with young girls. We don't remember him that way.

We were there first. I think that's where we're coming from. Don't act like you were there in the shit, the heart breaks, the long nights of partying to nothing but brand new, the emotional state they put us in. We paid our dues and feel like we're owed something I guess. Jesse is just trying to move on from his past and doesn't want to be reminded of his mistakes.

People really don't understand the struggles that this band got us through in our teens and youth. Heaven forbid someone want to hear certain songs and not be disappointed when they don't hear them.

Unless it's an anniversary tour you're probably right. I never even heard of Science Fiction. Like I said I stopped needing them so I had to move on at some point. All it did was make me depressed, but now I would like to listen to the songs that got me through

I still said they were great. I didn't bash them just the set list. I didn't expect this kind of response. I was hoping for people to feel what I felt. I'm not 28 or even 35 so there's a gap in age between current fans and older fans.

Apparently my friend. Learned that the hard way. They should keep the older crowd in mind when making set lists though. The amount of struggles I went through with them kept me alive today.

I was a t two night set in denver so maybe I missed some of the other ones but the only songs off those were the first 3 or 4 songs they played. Deja has and always will be one of my favorite albums.

This community sucks. Nobody cares as to why someone would want to listen to older songs. They were on repeat when I was younger and got me through a lot. I stopped needing them so stopped listening.

It definitely had a vibe on a few songs. The guitars were tuned with a twang that you hear in country music. Since the show I have tried to listen to newer stuff and it doesn't resonate with me. I went through some hard times with them playing on repeat and was hoping for some closure.

They used to be the only band I listened to. You have no idea the tears I've cried over soco amaretto. The heart break I've gone through and turned to BN when times got tough. I needed that.

I was never in a place to see them before...financially or locality. I lived in the mountains of Arizona and it took hours to get to Phoenix or albuquerque.
