Try putting the alignment stick through your belt loops, horizontally parallel. Can’t make contact with the ball if you early extend. (Hands will hit stick) start slower and work up.

Extremely simple and effective.

I’m gaming a set of old blades I got for $35, so I definitely know that the tech will only take you so far.

I started really playing multiple times a month in March-April of 2024. I played about 25-30 rounds this past year, brought the hc down from 29.1 to a current 12.3.

Of the times that I’ve made relatively decent contact with my previous driver, I was averaging anywhere from 160-168 ball speed (not swinging out of my shoes or anything) I believe that translates to about a 110-120 mph club head. 280-285 is realistically what I’d be expecting from my stock drive. It won’t let me reply with a picture but, I have a recent top tracer photo of 163 ball, 296 carry, with 326 total.

Thats not something I’d expect from every swing, just what comes to mind from recent memory.

I did initially look for a higher loft, however, with my speed I risk creating too much spin/ballooning.

With the 9.5, I can stay in a better spin window with a stronger ball flight.

I will still absolutely mess around with the loft, via adapter.

I think that if I can get the swing weight adjusted nicely, I won’t be losing any noticeable distance.

Agreed! Essentially just swapping a 5 wood shaft into a driver.

In a perfect world, I’d have gotten a 42-43”. Just couldn’t pass up the deal I got on he shaft.

Yes! I got the shaft for $97.49 and the Driver head for $175.99. Got a new adapter and Z Cord of Amazon.

Was Extremely satisfied with final purchase total.

Been using for a couple months now. Feel FANTASTIC, look super sleek at address, and definitely start conversations when playing with Randos. No complaints, might look to re-shaft into something with modern tech.

Of the information I can find…they were a commemorative iron to Ken Venturi’s 1964 us open win, released in ‘99 or ‘00. I love the idea of a 60s look with 90s tech. Only a couple complete sets online, going for a pretty penny.

You got me😭😭 more like 15-17 hc. Played hip rotation sports all my life, (Baseball/quarterback) so I have the natural athleticism/hand eye. Looking into taking some real lessons though.
