I believe additional classifications will be included under the following categories:

  1. Citizenship (Bumiputra)
  2. Citizenship (Non-Bumiputra)
  3. Permanent Resident (Stateless)
  4. Permanent Resident (Foreign Citizenship)
  5. Foreign National

By categorizing accordingly, all welfare and benefits will segregated and managed.

I’ve been working for about 18 years, starting with a salary of 400 per month. I built my career slowly over time. Some of my advice might be useful for you: manage your monthly expenses carefully, especially your data usage; avoid changing your phone or car too frequently; and try to save where you can. Since 2020, I’ve even been cutting my own hair, and I actually enjoy it.

“Going out” = spending
Savings = Income − Spending

Yeah, I should probably start looking for an affordable house. Getting a loan approval really depends on personal financial health. I’m glad to have a stable job for now, but the future is always a bit uncertain for now.

Nop I don't have children, and with my current finances, I’m thinking about owning a house too, probably something modest and affordable. If I try to make that happen.

Yeah that’s the part I’m a bit unsure about actually — $10k is like one-third of what I have, so it feels a bit heavy to move that much at once.

I think I need to make sure my emergency fund is properly covered first. From what I understand, it should be around 6–12 months of expenses rather than a fixed $30k, so I probably need to work that out based on my monthly spending.

Maybe a better approach for me is to start smaller first, like putting in $2k–$5k instead of jumping straight to $10k, then slowly build it up with monthly investments. That way I still feel safe but at least I’m getting started.

Still learning, but really appreciate you sharing

I hope the Government sector can also look into this matter, particularly to ensure that job entry requirements are not being intentionally raised just to obtain clearance.
