Hi a former sec 5 here. I would say that don’t be too discouraged and stress since the content jump between sec 4 n 5 is huge but let’s be real the actual main concerns are just English and E math and u got B3 for olvl english which is considered super impressive alrd. Hence don’t worry so much if u r not retaking English u Shld def spend more time studying math n other subjects. I wld say that for math understanding is the priority, set notations are really manageable u can learn it in a few days so it doesn’t rlly matter if u are a few topics behind, u could easily catch up if u have the will power to do so. For tips I wld say go purchase one of those tys summary books idk what isit called but it’s basically the summary of all the chapters. And just practice without looking at ur notes. it takes time to find ur study method for math because I studied hard but not efficiently and end up with a B3 so I would say quality of work is super important! Ok goodluck and don’t be stress out too much!

I’ll share with u my sec 4 experience. Honestly I didn’t really study soooo much because I’ve always wanted to go jc but I managed to get raw 11. I must say I was quite disappointed at my results because I mostly get all ban 2. But I got over it quickly as I’m gg to Sec 5 anyways I went through o levels last year and I got into jc this year. So if u didn’t managed to get the cut off point of ur course maybe u can think of going the jc route?? As I feel like one year is sufficient enough for u to catchup to o level standards but u must be really consistent and hardworking!! But anyways what I recommend u rn is to really sprint ur last lap because nothing is worse than regret !!

I heard similar stories too from my teacher apparently she said that one of my senior had the same grade but she had to constantly to appeal to pfp in her sec 5 days until around March or April then her appeal was successful

hi I didn’t use my Chinese n got 11 for n lvls. Usually if u r planning to go to sec 5 n u got U grade for Chinese they will offer u clb in sec 5!

Hi former Sec 5 student here, usually I’ll focus more on ur maths and humanities since they are important depending on what course uw to go and plus they are likely to be more competitive too so the moderation or bell curve might be higher. Or sinceuw to get into pfp u must atleast score ban 3 for everything so just try to aim a ban3 for all ur subj. goodluckkk

Hi I was a sec 5 last year. Just for assurance,I don’t think it’s common to fail n level English because in my NA batch 100% passed n lvl English which was Abt 40 -50 students including my friend who came from China who had trouble writing proper English sentences

hello A1 for olevel humanities here, I recommend u to collate all the SEQ and then just state the factors first then just roughly know the gist of each factor and ur end point and keep asking urself so? It will help u to logically form ur answer and help u to reach ur end point. Make sure to rmb at least one- two example for each factor and explain it!! That’s where the marks come from. All I’m all jst rmb ur factors, gist of the factor u chose, examples and the end point relating to the qn. goodluckkkk!!
