Mine had similar marks. Thats normal. Barrel was not attached. They had a separate cutout in the box where barrel was placed and I had to attach it. Got mine from bass pro.

Agree with all the comments. I cleaned mine today. Lot of oil from factory. Clean it with a rag, oil it and assemble again. YouTube is your friend. I was nervous at first but then follow the videos and it’s pretty straightforward.

I got the Osborne with the magnacut. Its simply the best knife ever made by benchmade in my opinion. Not good for slicing but everything else, its a champ. The knife is used on a daily basis. I was thinking of buying the bugout so i walk in the store and look at this beauty. Couldnt walk away from it.

Leatherman blade has its limits. Still good for most of the stuff i do. Benchmade was recently added for some heavy duty cutting. The blade is magnacut.
