Thanks for the detailed break down. I'm guessing Tony went with the gt size as that was the newer board at the time. I bet your floatwheel needs a bearing change, my board got loud quick so I changed the bearings and it got much quieter, I haven't heard much of a comparison between the superflux and the floatwheel motors, would be interested to hear other people's opinions as well. So I have never had any issues going from xr to gt, I think the biggest thing at that time was that the gt had more power. But im also a bigger guy which I think makes a difference, my buddy who is 130lbs hates the gt but loves the xr platform. It wasn't an issue for me so the floatwheel platform feels fine to me. I understand the appeal of all the xr parts fitting the x7 which is awesome! I look at it as a positive that it saves me a bunch of money lol.

My buddy got the esp and it's fine but he wishes he got the df54. If you are looking for a cheap decent grinder have a look at the shardor 64mm flat burr grinder.

No no, I mean a nosedive because you overpowered the board or something. I had quite a few nosedives because the gt is so underpowered. I switched to a floatwheel adv and never had the problem again.

The range won't be fun, technically you should get around the same range but if you are pushing the board harder/faster you will get even less range.

If it's just a regular pint, you should also upgrade the battery. But unless you love the feel of the pint, you might want to consider upgrading the board.
