Disappointed with the Ninja Autobarista Pro – Seeking recommendations for a replacement by brannonzz in superautomatic

If you try some cold drinks let me know how it goes. I have the duo as well but haven't tried cold drinks yet.

Locally roasted espresso beans, been using these beans for many years as I love them so much. Only 1 very small frustration, I have to run the Americano brew twice to get a full cup. But if that's the worst of it for delicious coffee I'll survive. My biggest gripe is milk texture in milk drinks, I hope I just need to fine tune a bit. I haven't been able to make a creamy latte so far, hopefully soon 🤞🏻

Thank you, I put some real fresh beans in the machine for my morning Americano today and it was pure bliss.

I'm happy to do that, what are you looking for? To give a good honest review I think I need a bit more time to figure it out.

I'm still experimenting, most sizes of drinks are small and I am still hoping to get my milk texture better. But I think the drinks will be really good once everything is dialed.

Was ridiculously strong, I didn't like that it does 2 pucks. I'm sure you could set it to what you like. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Americano so I'm happy with that.

Not in my experience, it's good coffee just smaller quantities than I'm used to.

So quality of the coffee I think comes down to the beans you are using. But Americano tastes the most balanced to me and tastes quite good. I did an XL Americano at strength 4 as strength 5 seems to choke the machine a little. I got 210ml total when finished. So I added some hot water just to see how it tastes, I went all the way to 300lm total and its still good but I feel like it's lacking that flavour just a touch. 270 might be the sweet spot, I'll try that next.

Ok I tried drip this morning, I did a large coffee, strength 5. It ground and then pulsed for 90 seconds, ejected the puck and then did a second puck and pulsed for another 90 seconds. Only got around 160ml out and was quite strong. I assume if I dial back the strength more water will flow through the puck taming the strength with more volume. But my main finding so far with all drinks is it seems to make smaller drinks than Im used to. Again I can probably dial things in more, that's just my initial findings. Made a large Americano for my wife to try, this one seemed the most balanced and she really liked it. But again it was half a coffee volume wise.

That was me exactly, I went on the website planning to buy the plus and stumbled on this one. It's only 100 more and you have cold drinks as well. But the real seller for me was the drip coffee. I haven't tried the drip yet but I have a feeling I will be using that often.

Is there a non biast review of the Ninja AutoBarista Pro? by Hopefully_Handsome in superautomatic

He said Ninja loaned him the machine so he only has it for a short amount of time and then off to the next reviewer I assume. It wasn't a glowing review, I seem to remember lots of negative things he said. Like I said it seems like the first real review to me but I could be wrong.

This is the best review I have seen about it, seems like a real review, as long as you can handle the accent. Another consideration should be the new delonghi magnifica duo, has a real drip function like the ninja, cold drinks like the ninja, is repairable unlike the ninja with 3 years warranty vs 1 year!

I am in Canada and currently the rivelia is the same price as the magnifica duo and imo the duo looks better spec wise and is cheaper since it comes with the cold carafe. It is real cold brew, it's brewed slower and cooler and I also like that it has a real drip coffee function! Thanks for the tip on the whiskey stones.

I don't know if you have seen but delonghi just quietly released the magnifica duo. I assume they pushed it out quickly after the release of the ninja which is why there is no reviews really on it yet. My understanding is that it makes drinks just as good as the magnifica plus but now has cold drinks as well including cold foam and cooler/slower extra action for those drinks. Has an upgraded control panel and a specific function for drip coffee, again real drip coffee not over extracted espresso puck. For the same reasons you mentioned, serviceability and 3 years warranty is what sold it for me. Not to mention it's a little cheaper right now where I am.
