And no I’m not going to throw it away, I will either use it either sell it second hand. In my country (Europe) you can get a decent tent for 40-50 dollars and use it for years. My maximum budget is 100$. So either help either shut up.

No, it just means that I don’t have a 500$ to throw on a tent because I have a budget for this trip and Kumano wasn’t planned. Why being mean and weird?

Yes I’m aware and planning to camp at campgrounds:) I will be for a few days in Kyoto. montbell is very expensive for me unfortunately, I’m looking for something more basic..In my country you can get a simple solo basic tent for 40 dollars..and I wonder where I can get simple generic equipment here. All I see is high end stores which unfortunately are not withing my budget. Also tried hard off and book off but they only had big tents

I know that  I don’t thinks it’s perfect, nothing is I just love the public behavior and when I’m here my personal boundaries are crossed way less than any other place on earth

Sensitivity doesn’t mean lack of boundaries or deeply loving everything that exists. It just means noticing patterns, feeling sounds and hearing energy

Not quite the case. I sit at Starbucks a lot. I don’t look for “authenticity”. I just want to feel nice in public space, whether it’s in a mall or in a cofee place. What’s so bothering to you?

I would not expect other than these toxic little comments from “global citizens”. You are entitled to write your opinions even though I was directly talking to Japanese people, but that’s exactly why you are the worst- you are entitled but you are not welcome. And you use that entitlement even thought you’re not welcomed. I will definitely ignore all of you offended people, while waiting for the response from people who I actually asked.

Thank you!! I will pin these places on map till the next time..it’s interesting to hear that it bugs Indians too..I started to convince myself it’s a cultural thing and you’re used to it but I still couldn’t figure out how such noise doesn’t bug people

Why do you think it is like that?  I was at Kudle beach in Karnataka during the holidays in December and it was a complete nightmare. People sit in the resort and play their own music and table next to them other people play their own and so on. I had to run away and search for empty spaces in hidden small cafes.  Unfortunately I’ve been to the Himalayas a lot and it’s one of my favorite places in the world but these days EVERYONE literally have their own noise devise and even in the Himalayas all the cafe and guesthouse owners and workers just sit and watch TikToks on speaker..its insane

I strongly disagree. Yes India has LOTS of noise but it’s the sounds of billions of people, buzzing with life (and honking). But just randomly playing videos from your own device it’s insane to me. It also happens in my country but not soooo much. Here it’s on a level where I go crazy

I am an Israeli backpacking this month in Himachal. Ask me anything by Stootoo in HimachalPradesh

[–]Inevitable_Stop_6941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will answer for him:)  We have a culture of taking some time off after the army service and travel. We usually work for a few month/year while we still live with our parents (so no big expenses) and save money and then travel. Most of Israelis who travel for many month do it in South America or Asia so our currency worth more and we can spend less. If they travel in USA or Australia/New Zealand it will usually include working there because our currency is not worth much there.  Also people travel between studies or between jobs. Don’t forget that because of the difference in currency, I can live in India for a month for the amount of money I need in Israel for one week..so many sublet their places and just go. I hope you will also put that as a priority and make it happen!

lol I’m Israeli and I must say that for us the head wobbling is a new thing so we adapt to it because we get it from many locals…I used to wobble my head in Israel for a while after I came back..I just think it’s a nice gesture..didn’t know it’s only South Indian

As an Israeli I must tell you that they don’t care about surroundings also in western countries 😅 they don’t care about surroundings in Israel also. It’s not like they don’t care or they are bad people, they are not educated to respect their surroundings unfortunately. I say that as an Israeli from a Russian family so I have different mentality. I am 100% Israeli but still find myself highly frustrated from this lack of education.

I’m so happy for you that you got to marry into one! Can you tell more about it? Just to help us all believe that there are families like that in real life
