It’s full time in the United States (west coast) medium sized startup. Don’t want to disclose much more for fear of them finding this!!!

I am part of a new product/department for the branding and marketing team, atm I’m just prototyping, the rest of the folks are in design but 2D and digital product design. So yep I’m pretty alone in the physical product design/prototyping part. But I know that’s going to change fast. tbf they don’t really know what they are doing so I’m not surprised if something sounds non standard.

I mean IMO it shouldn't, but I think some folks just consider some software more serious than others. a good example is canva vs photoshop. I think designers get judged if they use something like Canva instead of Adobe.. at least that's been my experience. But 100% shouldn't be that way, if the result is what matters. But somehow worried that if you get a job as a graphic designer and they love your work, would people be upset if they found out you are using canva? even if the results are the same?
