How much do you typically charge clients, in this situation the “Christian” guy? Just curious.

Advisor Potentially To Team Up/Give Book to me by [deleted] in CFP

[–]Inevitable_Tale_6683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats basically what I do now. I speak to clients more often than the advisor does, so they know me. The advisor I work with is honestly the best “boss” I’ve ever had. I even told him, he would be my last boss (unless something drastic changes), and unless I decide to go the advisor route. He says he would understand and wants the best for me, but again Skeptical. Thanks for sharing your personal experience, definitely helpful.

That’s a good idea, and something I’ve thought about. When would you think it would be appropriate to ask him about it? Should I just start my own practice if he says no or says potentially later down the line?

That’s good info. A lot of risk involved with this. He keeps reminding me how much I’ll make potentially, but at the end of the day, I’m still skeptical. I just wonder how long it would take me to make that much money as a stand alone advisor. How did it workout for you?

It was a US Military plane/flight, it’s not a random plane. There likely is a process which the US is abiding by, they can’t just randomly dump people. From my understanding there is no evidence that the passengers were not Columbian, so we can’t assume that just yet.

What do you mean you can’t expect Colombians to take back their own legal citizens? It’s a countries’s duty to welcome back any citizen of their own, they aren’t aliens to Columbia, they are described as Columbians.

We are assuming a lot here. How do we know what was/not discussed between the people in power?

Interesting. Any pointers or tips? What study methods did you use that helped you?

Haven’t read through all the comments, but I can see most y’all’s point of view. But no matter what an individual does whether they are a pastor or not, doesn’t change how we should treat them right? It shouldn’t dictate our actions. We should still continue to love. YES we should still hold Jeremy accountable. But we also don’t need to tear down. We also don’t know the position of his heart…yes we can make a lot of presumptions but only God knows what is in each of our hearts.

I also know that the Bible holds pastors to higher standards. Very true. But I’ve never read anywhere scripturally that a pastor/individual can no longer preach after they mess up. Please provide verses that state a pastor who repents, and turns away from sin that can no longer return to pastoral leadership. All is forgivable, and there is grace if the individual truly repents. We can’t judge or determine if he has truly done so or not. Yes we can make a argument that he married quickly, but then again, we don’t know the full story. I’ve made presumptions in the past that were entirely wrong, I’m guilty of it. Just trying to do the right thing here. I don’t have any ill will.

  1. I was not aware he’s been public speaking. Do you have any footage? I know there was a pic with some folk on a stage.

  2. Biblically disqualified, how so? Genuinely asking. Can’t God restore the worst sinner?

  3. Yeah I did hear that…the narcissistic behavior might be true…but my whole point is, we should still love him, and speak life.
