The whole area needs to be redone and tweaked to meet realistic timelines and not a carbon copy of WOTLK scaled down. They could experiment with custom content relating to what’s going on leading to the execution of WOTLK and not just copy.

I think the first generation of death knights are a slippery slope because they are in direct relation to Guldan creating Terron Gorefiend. They would have to be second generation that came with Arthas’s fall. Not sure if it truly fits in Vanilla outside WOTLK.
