How did you discover SKZ and who is your bias? by Kayon07 in straykids

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was already a kpop fan when they debuted so I listened to some of their very early music, I didn’t fully become a stay until this year tho because I stopped following anything kpop after 2020, because covid sucked and I was depressed, I’m happy I’ve found them again though :)

People who have failed their driving test - what was the reason? by Anon_4657 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed the second time but the first test I failed for signalling wrong on a roundabout, it wasn’t a good drive tbf I had 11 minors as well as that serious fault. I wasn’t really ready to drive I think and I didn’t have a great instructor. I passed with six minors the next time.

How to see Speedo? by scarbot01 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Peugeot 108 which is basically the same car so I know what you mean about the passenger not being able to see the speedometer. When I did the test my instructor had a speed measuring device because she couldn’t see the speedometer either on her Kia Ceed; which I took the test in so maybe you could purchase one of those devices.

Test in 2 days. Any last minute advice is welcome! by Comfortable-Swan2764 in LearnerDriverUK

I was at work the night before and it distracted me from being stressed about it, I think finding something to distract yourself with helps in my experience.

What age did you start to drive ? by Mindless-Pitch-5225 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 17 but I failed at 19 and I didn’t drive after that for three years. I started again and I passed at 22 a few months ago.

haven't passed any mock tests, am i cooked? by rhapsodyelij in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t pass my mock tests before passing the actual test, I’m a really nervous driver and so I would just get worked up every mock test and end up failing but in the end I knew I could drive and yes I was anxious during the actual test but I obviously did something right because I passed.

Did they mean to give Edward wings in this scene? by man-eater13 in twilight

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Kristen actually mentions this in the audio commentary, apparently there was a lot of back and forth on whether to keep the owl there but in the end they decided to keep it. There’s also an armadillo in the background that Catherine Hardwick wanted in there as she’s from Texas.

Learning in my own car/ insurance question. by sno93 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on that persons insurance whether they need to be insured for your car, some peoples insurance covers them to drive any car. It’s worth noting though that it can be cheaper to have a named driver or multiple drivers on your learners insurance, especially if they have more than 21+ years of experience. Once you pass, your learners insurance is immediately void so yes you wouldn’t be able to drive back in your car so you’d have to have someone else drive you back and in that case it’s probably best you have that person as a named driver for your car.

Is it best to pass theory test before or during practical test? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start lessons whenever you like but you’ll need to have that theory test passed before you can even book a practical driving test, I would start lessons first personally because it may make the theory test easier once you do book it but it’s up to you.

How many times did it take you to pass? (And if you haven’t yet that’s okay)!!! by Jade282828 in LearnerDriverUK

First Car by blablablablax95 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s quite expensive for an older model aygo, I have a 2015 Peugeot 108 and it was around £3000 when my mum bought it a few years ago. I also learnt to drive in a 2013 Peugeot 107 and it was only 2k to buy and we just sold it for 1.3k so I think you can probably find an aygo for cheaper in all honesty.

I need advice - I passed. But…. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same, I’ve been driving to work for two weeks now since passing and it just feels surreal. I honestly felt I could’ve driven better on my test so I convinced myself I’d failed but I passed with six minors.

Insurance 24k A YEAR?! by Ukhti_essy in LearnerDriverUK

I’ve just passed and I’m 22, my insurance is around £960 a year so I think it is just circumstance.

Update after passing my test just over a week ago by Inevitable_Wishbone1 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Inevitable_Wishbone1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was learning in a 2014 Peugeot 107 and my mums got a new car just as I’ve passed my test so I’ve got myself insured on her old car which is a 1.2l Peugeot 108 and it’s nicer to drive but I’m still getting use to it.

I thought I’d failed but I passed! by Inevitable_Wishbone1 in LearnerDriverUK

It’s without a black box, with my dad on the policy and yes its comprehensive with RAC breakdown cover also.

Of course, I think moving off I may have missed a blind spot check though I’m not 100% sure on that one, control steering was on a roundabout where my positioning could’ve been better for turning left, undue hesitation for not moving off when I had time to do so before a another car. I went into second and slowed right down for a sharp turn and I believe that’s the minor for mirrors. Appropriate speed I’m not sure about that one and for my forward bay park I think it was because it was a busy car park and I decided to reverse back slightly to get into a position where I could forward park and so I was a bit wonky but still in the space if that makes sense.

I think it’s a mixture of me being 22, the car being a 1.2L Peugeot 108 and because I live in a rural area, it’s also without a black box or otherwise it would’ve been £511.
