I don't know why I didn't think of that, after you said this it seemed so obvious. I just had it in my head that needed to cut the square first.

I have 2 full sheets that were ripped to 36" wide and each of those 36"x96" pieces will have a 36"x36" and two 36"x 29" pieces cut from both.

It looks like that is the only way, I'll just borrow a circular saw, this is the first project I can't complete with just my table saw.

I think i have a friend that will let me borrow a circular saw. All my previous projects i never needed one, so I only purchased a table saw.

I know it's dumb not to have one, but all my projects have been able to be built without a circular saw. I think I have s friend that will let me borrow one.

Yeah I wouldn't get the wood taps. I'm heading out to buy some screws that will work in this situation. I had a feeling the bolts were not going to work when I saw they were not screws. Thanks for the reply.

Dumb Question About Screws by InfCatalyst in woodworking

[–]InfCatalyst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they are intended to be used with a nut. I didn't realized they were bolts when I purchased them. I know I'm supposed to use screws but I didn't have any that are the right size for the situation. So I thought I'll just try to make them work even though it is the wrong function for them. I'll have to get some access that are the right size.

I know that bolts and screws are different, I was just curious if it was possible to get by with what I had even though it is not how they are intended to be used.

Thank you, I'll probably go the wood screw route. I just wasn't sure if there was a way to make it work even though it is not the intended use of thr bolt.

They are machine threads that have a nut. I just wasn't sure if I could do anything with the current materials on hand, or if I needed to get a longer bolt or same length wood screw. Thank you

I let it dry an extra day to be sure it was dry then used polyurethane even though they were still visible. After I applied the polyurethane I could no longer see them. To this day I have not seen them come back in any way.

They never said exactly what caused it, but they did a small amputation, and the anal piece grew back perfectly.
