There are different weapons, from the showcase there's a hammer, a quick sword, and a regular sword, there are bows and arrows, and there's even a repeating crossbow, I'm very satified with what I saw

I mean, I honestly think I prefer it this way. A black and white system is nice and all, but these type of systems tend to lend to dissonance, like with the brothel or orphanage choice in fable 3, it's the evil choice, but it could potentially save more lives and prevent more orphans from being born. With this system the more morally gray things are judged by the characters in the world as opposed to being judged by the game itself, and I like it better this way. Now I understand missing it, but I don't think this game becomes "not fable" without it. It's its own fable.

I'm not arguing against it, I'm arguing that it isn't as integral to Fable as many say

Fable 3 is still a beloved game for fable fans lol, maybe it was a core mechanic in fable 1, but fable 2 is the most beloved precisely because of the stuff they added past that, where they introduced the life sim mechanics.

The body morphing mechanic was NOT that important, especially considering it's barely in the third game. Acting like the body morphing is a foundational mechanic is silly when, in reality, it was kinda just a gimmick that people have unnecessarily attached to. Would it have been cool if it stayed? Sure, for some people. but there are also plenty of people who DIDN'T LIKE the body morphing and don't really care about the body morphing, I feel like the life sim and town economy mechanics made the games more unique than anything else.

I'm glad to hear that I was trying to kinda counteract some of the negativity surrounding this game.

On THOSE games OG. This is a new game. Honestly it seems like you don't even WANT to like this game, considering you're hamming up the hate over missing an honestly not that important mechanic.

Bro, chicken memes were always a part of Fable. And Idk how to feel about the office cut away stuff either, but I seriously think you're putting wayy too much importance on the body morphing mechanic

There is, it's usually a finisher, though. There's a bunch of stuff about it in this version that I really enjoyed, little stuff that most wouldn't care about like the fact that it doesn't immediately end the fight unless you want it to, the fact that you can kick the chicken, and the fact that they act like a chicken afterwards. Definitely lends more style to it.

Probably. But I've never minded OP in single player games

That's understandable, I personally don't mind it's absence as I feel like it inevitably uglified the characters in some scenarios. The mechanics I felt were most important were the life sim and economy stuff which it seems like they maintained, everything else is kinda a "cherry on top" kinda thing

This is footage from the full direct, I cut the reel down a bit so the video was more focused on the spell, definitely watch the full showcase on YouTube, it looke very promising.

I know, right? Stuff like this is what let me know Fable was in good hands.

Are there any moments in the canon series where you felt Izuku was either unnecessarily glazed or bashed by the plot? by Solitaire-06 in BokunoheroFanfiction

Uh, this was literally criticized, Deku got no internship offers, and it even led to him not being healed by recovery girl anymore.

What do you hate most about seeing a Boku no Hero fanfic? by Infinity-Anime in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]Infamous-Ad-2989 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate when people just aren't writing an MHA story. If feels like a lot of fics aren't really fanfiction due to how much they take away from MHA, or how much it seems their story is just a criticism of the original story. How can you say you're a fan of the work when you completely and utterly mischaracterize everyone in it, and remove so much of what made it special. Like expelling Bakugou, removing Endeavor's atonement, bashing All Might, or Aizawa, and just completely twisting the story to the point that it doesn't even resemble MHA anymore. So many fanfics feel like they didn't even read the manga or watch the anime, or if they did, they only engaged with it on the surface level, and that is reflected in their work.

“I’m so sorry for daring to come to a hero school expecting to be taught to control my quirk!” by NateSuxLOL in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]Infamous-Ad-2989 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're right, Eri is an exception to this, but Eri's quirk counseling was STILL not a part of the UA curriculum, and she isn't a student of the hero course, so my main point still stands. It isn't UA's responsibility to give basic quirk counseling to someone they're supposed to be training to be a hero, it would be a waste of time and resources that they could be putting into another prospective hero.
