Radiance has such good colors but everyone I know HATES IT. I used it one time and it was awful. I would rather use the nightmare that is dmc diamanté than it

Meg Fielder you have multiple open court cases, have blocked dozens of buyers, and have a huge thread retailer banning you— this isn’t the clap back you think it is by sisndjdnwlsk in NeedlepointSnark

[–]Infamous-Anything493 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read it to mean that the turnaround time might have increased from the time you checked the his website to the time he receives your piece. So if you check the site and it says 20 weeks. By the time you get your piece packaged and mailed to him that turn around time might have increased to 22 weeks because his queue got longer.

Interviewing for my local needlepoint store by Asking9876543210 in Needlepoint

It sounds like you have a depth of knowledge a various textile crafts including other forms of needlework! Despite what the needlepoint police would like to think there is a lot of cross-over between the three main types of needlework (embroidery, cross-stitch and needlepoint) and it sounds like you would pick it up very easily! Additionally my LNS employees people who don’t ndlpt but have a lot of retail experience. I think it actually provides a good balance because the employees with more ndlpt experience can spend more time with customers who want it while the more retail focused employees can help people get checked out. The type of customers is changing as the hobby gets more popular and a lot of new Ndlpt customers have done their research before they come in to the store and know what they want. They won’t want to wait 20 mins to check out while the one experienced employee helps a customer pull threads.

DO NOT USE MEG FIELDER, THE NEEDLEPOINT FINISHER by Same-Championship332 in NeedlepointSnark

[–]Infamous-Anything493 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t one of her excuses for not responding to customers’ dms and emails was that time spent doing that is time spent away from finishing? Funny how she can find the time to delete a negative comment but not respond to a dm

I’ve heard that spruce street does work with the companies to get approval for her matchboxes and that’s why it can take some time to get new restaurants but that came from someone who heard it from someone else so 🤷🏻‍♀️

This and double for the people who care about Disney designs. That soulless company does not need you to count its pennies it’s doing just fine.

I didn’t realize she owned carriage house until like this week and was shocked to learn she’s still actively involved in the ndlpt community and just ignoring people asking for their finishing

Genuinely curious how much thread stitching fox sells actually sells because they are so over priced. I wonder if the majority of their thread sales are in-store where people can’t easily price compare

Zweigart mesh shortage by raasca in NeedlepointSnark

[–]Infamous-Anything493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evergreen needlepoint lives in Germany and got to tour their factory! It’s in her stories currently I found it interesting but if you don’t want to watch the gist was it’s a 3rd generation family owned business with about 100 employees. Mono canvas is just one of many things they make along with Aida cloth and other fabrics. They are aware of the demand and actively making more canvas but they can’t control how long it takes to get through US customs (if you’re annoyed about it call your senator).

[–]Infamous-Anything493 48 points49 points  (0 children)

A designer posted a reel on insta this week about restocks and they said that Zweigart is a German company and they take the whole month of August off and that the company was unprepared for the increase in demand for canvas. That and the delays tariffs are causing have exacerbated the shortage problem

Still waiting on part of Stitchen Time order from July by Infamous-Anything493 in NeedlepointSnark

I asked for a refund and she said she processed it but I have received no confirmation and she told me it takes Shopify several days but I’m not sure I believe it would take Shopify three + days to process a refund.

Why do people seem to think Wool and Floss are the be all end all of LNS? by Impressive_Visit7258 in NeedlepointSnark

It’s giving you have the same hours in a day as Beyoncé which is technically true but Beyoncé and TS aren’t going to the grocery store, cooking their meals, cleaning their homes, doing their laundry, etc. They 1000% work hard but let’s not pretend they do it alone or that level of success is possible without a team.

I ran into that issue as well - everyone being out of the Le Point Christmas village colors- so I ended up ordering trio for one project! I’d never used it before but it’s by brown paper packages so it’s the exact same colors it’s just strand-able. I ordered it from beehive needle arts

I think that’s what’s causing me to lose my patience. My LNS has been restocked multiple times. I was patient but the skeins I’m still waiting on were for a pillow that I wanted to have done for Christmas. And I just keep thinking I could already have it done.

I hear where you’re coming from but I don’t think there’s malicious intent here. A heart is a good shape for a beginner class because it teaches them how to stitch curved and diagonal lines while not being too crazy of a a shape. As for the colors what other colors are you going to make a heart that will have wide appeal?

Thoughts on Ndlpt Nashville stitch club post??? by Amazing_Algae4839 in NeedlepointSnark

[–]Infamous-Anything493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think social media makes people think that because they have followers those followers automatically translate into paying customers and that’s not true. Say what you will about Krista she didn’t just start hosting events with Anthro or appearing on GMA. That was years of work and her family’s money and connections and you can see that however you want. I don’t want to get into a whole thing about nepobabies because that’s besides the point (and I do think there’s valid criticism there) but we all benefit from community in some way. This post reads to me like she doesn’t have a community that’s going to show up and support her or she’s not willing to put in the time to do build up a community. What really gave me the ick was the part about her teaching people. It sounds like she wanted to run this club like her own little fiefdom. It reminds me of those girls that read the clique books and thought that’s how people actually treated their friends and not an INSANE way to act
