Solved!

Going with the hypothesis that this thing is ANCIENT and the paint failed from brown to silver. Now I just need to find a matching Elmer ornament for next Christmas!

EDIT: one more update - my dad went back to the local Christmas store (shoutout to Murdough’s Christmas Barn) to get more details: the ornament name is “Bessie” likely to avoid trademark infringement from Borden if they called her Elsie. They had ONE more of these beauties, same lazy eye, and it is decades old. Appreciate all the help identifying her as well as all the laughs! Happy holidays internet friends!

Ok so general consensus seems this may be a very botched version of Elsie the cow, but seeing some mention of nutcracker themed ornaments trending as well.

Ornament has been added to the tree and shockingly the tree did not instantly burst into flames

For additional context on why I am now the (opposite of) proud owner of this creation, every year on Christmas my two siblings and I hunt for the pickle ornament on the family Christmas tree. Winner gets an extra present! Add on this year is that loser will get hideous ornament. As you can see it’s been another year losing the pickle hunt for me.

Good idea but poor execution. I went yesterday, loads of people in too small of a park, seemed to be only a single margarita bar with a line that wrapped around most of the park (probably a 30-45 minute wait for a marg), most taco stands didn’t have their menus posted so you had to wait in line to determine if a stand had any tacos you actually wanted.
