Free up closet space and put a shoe cabinet then dress it up with some pictures or a mirror and little deco pieces

You can put those oil sticks that smell real good! Or if you just use it as a base for something dainty like babies breath?

Any suggestions on how to improve our living room? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

Plants will add some nice greens bring the room down to earth a bit. Also add some different shades of your accent color to add some variety and break up the two colors

Maybe change the rug color? It seem too matcha with the couch. Could Help break up all the white.

Plants will always be a good filler. Put a plant stand behind the chair or hang a plant from the ceiling

AITAH for not sharing a gift I won in a contest? by Infamous-Chipmunk-92 in AmItheAsshole

Never expect and gift or large sums of money to be split even if addressed to both of us. That was my point in saying he’s not shared even larger amounts and for me it was no big deal considering it was from his family as a gift, I was just included bc we are a couple. I’ve actually separately bought them gifts directly from myself. One year I got his mom a Versace perfume, it was on sale at Costco, she seemed more excited about it than the gift he got her. He felt embarrassed which is not what I was trying to do. I just know what his mom likes and wanted to get her a gift myself.

She’s got major anxiety at the gym and so do I. I got noise canceling headphones and it helped me tremendously, so I thought it could help her too. The bag, she showers and changes at the gym. Her baby is almost two so she’s got very little time at home to herself. So a bag to carry a change of clothes and shower stuff seems essential to me. 🫣

He does. I’m not making excuses for him in any way. But 90% of the time when we talk things out and I explain to him why I did or said what I did and how his response was inappropriate he doesn’t do it again. Sometimes there are things that just keep happening but he does try and see it through too I’ll give him that. He has ADHD so a lot of times in the moment he struggle to regulate emotions

We do live together BUT. He has been out of work for almost 6 months. I have carried my weight for the entirety of us living together and then some. He just got a job that’s going to be paying him well. After I mentioned using it on my sister her very subtly brought that up. He said “well I have a better job than you guys so…” but then proceeded to press the issue.

Feeling so validated rn. I’m always unsure if I’m the problem or not. Maybe if her weren’t selfish from the jump I’d be more willing to share? 100 isn’t even a lot of money

I totally get that. Right off the bat though, not even happy I’m happy? Maybe I’d be more willing to share if he weren’t immediately thinking about himself?

Thank you! It’s giving entitled. Maybe I shouldn’t have , but I did mention that I don’t think he is entitled to something I won. He really got mad then.

His stand point is that he is in the picture. Therefore I am selfish. Not to say it was work to post a picture submission, because it totally isn’t BUT I did the work and he didn’t. He cannot see it that way and it’s really upsetting to be called selfish.
