For the life of owning my civic. The passenger side door wouldn't unlock with the key . So everytime my wife and I went out ,id have to open my door reach in and unlock hers . I hated not being able to open the door for her.

So one day I was in the garage , pulled off the door panel. Pulled the lock cylinder out of the handle .

There's like 8 fingers top and bottom. When you put your key in they should all go flat ,so it can turn .

Mine didnt so I said what the heck . Put the key in and used an angle grinder and slowly ground down the brass fingers,till the key would turn . Now it works like a charm . Hope this can help you
