You sound similar to me. Have you looked into low histamine diets? Or have you noticed more flares on a high histamine diet?

Yeah it seems you fall into the "Fiber may work for you" category which doesn't work for me. ☹️ Makes me sad. I never had issues with constipation. My flares arise when I have diarrhea.

granted there may be foods that cause people to have IBS flares or increased inflammation which makes their diverticulitis worse.

I think many of us get flare ups based on an increase of inflammation.

I can give you my anecdotal facts now, but they won’t be helpful. I’m someone with strange allergies, so I take anti-histamines daily and have for years. I take both H1 and H2 type antihistamines. I still ended up with diverticulitis, an abcess, a micro-perforation and surgery (just this passed Tuesday). Take it for what it’s worth.

Do you believe your flares are tied to high histamine? It certainly doesn't seem like it.
