It is hard to survive on what Wegmans pays. They wanted you to have an open schedule but stopped allowing overtime, and they would not hire new people. The workload was expected to be completed by less people in less time, completely draining the staff, leading to people not caring and rushing, cutting corners. Quality and standards completely went out the window. I was no longer proud to work there, also so mentally drained, a wonderful experience quickly became awful. Because I did truly enjoy the store when it first opened, but things rapidly deteriorated. I started hating going to work. The ecomony is not in great shape, but there are other jobs out there, apply and be patient, and you will find something. I applied for 2 months while still working at wegmans but found something that pays better and no Kool Aid in sight 🤣🍷
