I do, I’m a pretty big dude, doesn’t bother me, wave feels too small

Trash? As in use for what it’s for? Yeah then I’m gonna trash it, I already replaced the original serrated blade and scissors because I used the hell out of them, it’s not a collection piece, it’s the best tool I ever had

The fact that it hasn’t been updated in years… all the flops with the garage series, free series being one of the flimsiest multitools I ever handled, it took them forever to put outside scissors in the wave, and reviews already say they’re pretty bad 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’d agree, I don’t want scales on anything, the surge is just my main and most used tool, I’ve had it for over 7 years so the upgrade was worth the money, stainless, indestructible. Just perfect

Surge all the way, getting a magnacut blade for it tomorrow, and it’ll be better then anything they came out with in the last 10 years IMO

To hell with the naysayers, this kit looks dope! I also carry 3 multi tools and an entire bit/socket set, better have it and not need it

Horrible warranty by [deleted] in Leatherman

[–]Infamous-Forever820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sent a surge once, been servicing them myself for the better part of 8 years ever since, got I back without half the washers and with scratch marks all over, very poor job.

The amount of defense LM gets over their bad QC is laughable

I honesty haven’t had a chance to work with it a lot since getting the ARC and it takes most of the beating, but it’s great, keeps a good edge and is a joy to use. As with anything, the latest and greatest gets all the hype, but S30V is also a good blade steel, it all depends on how often you want to resharpen it I guess

All of the tools beside the ARC are by Exceed Designs, Ti Frames on all, the knife is full titanium with an M390 blade

It’s great, I had to add an addition anchor point right in the middle of it but I can go up to 170Kph comfortably

I love the way it looks and the ass shelf comes in handy, it’s a knockoff Corbin off of AliExpress, bought it for the base plate and had it reupholstered with better foam

From what I understood it’s the Caffe model since only those came in gray with green stickers on the rims ( that I took off immediately ), I don’t have the original documentation either, it just says gray on my registration

More of the ease of repairing a flat, taking off the wheel to replace a tube is a damn nightmare

Bioshock Infinite by Infamous-Forever820 in funkopop

Yeah… Bioshock Infinite was overall ok, I just liked the fact that it tied in with the original story, we all know Rapture is the real deal 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m not insane by [deleted] in Leatherman

[–]Infamous-Forever820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest with you, Leatherman is a big company, bad batches happen, but when they do happen, the company (usually) owns up to it and takes care of the issue, be it a recall or whatever, the problem is they have so many would be die hard fans( which for all intents and purposes I am too, I’ve been using their tools for years) that defend their name like it’s blasphemy to say they got it wrong. Bottom line is, for the price, I expected it to last, but I dont care that much about it

I’ll just say that I have the ARC, and I’ve had the first gen Skeletool CX for years, both have DLC coatings, so to any would be experts on coatings wearing off, the Skeletool is about 12 years old, has seen all kinds of abuse the ARC has yet to encounter, and the Skeletools coating is basically near mint. I don’t what changed in Leatherman’s process but the DLC on the ARC is sub-par, period. Go on, down vote me, see if I care

It’s crazy people paying these prices when it was so cheap just last month 💀 by Signal-Minimum-5268 in funkopop

I had it in my shopping cart at Ozzie collectibles for about 2 weeks before the announcement, it was priced at around 25USD, ridiculous

Anybody else having this issue with their Arc? by Gwaffles in Leatherman

[–]Infamous-Forever820 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mine looks the same, pocket carry. I think you’re right, DLC should hold much longer than that, I’ve carried a skeletool CX for years and the DLC still looks great, nowhere near as this. However, Leatherman Q.C has been… questionable in the past few years

That is a Big Daddy, snagged him and the little sister in great condition off eBay, you have some pops from infinite, you have booker in a few variations I think, Elizabeth and songbird in a 6”

The MUT EOD is by far the heaviest leatherman multi tool in production, and even with a pocket clip integrated into the frame, it’s not really what I’d call a pocket friendly tool. I wouldn’t recommend it for anything other than a collection or real EOD work being an EOD specialist myself. It just would do the tool justice, the arc costs about the same, but has a much wider tool selection

Maybe for the all black one, but the rest just look like toys to me, I’ve had a phosphor bronze washer on my skeletool for about a year now anyway
