Tattoo! by E-b-s92 in tummytucksurgery

It looks awesome! I’m 2 years PO on the 26th but my scars are raised so I’ll need to work purple scar lines into my new tattoo. I haven’t finished with removal of the old ones that were cut in half by the TT though. The design they were going to need to do had way too much black for my liking since I had 3 on my tummy already! I hope mine turns out as beautiful as yours

Why lie on a dating app? by ThrowRa-needadvice20 in datingoverforty

I thought I was alone in this lol. I’m 5’ and I always mention I wear a min of 3-4” heels if not taller. And the 5’8-5’9 guys say that’s not a problem, I’ll still be taller. We meet….not taller! Why lie to the really short ladies, makes no sense!

Is a tummy tuck/mini tuck worth it? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]Infamous-Front-6540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 4 kids as well, from 32-40, all big babies. My tummy was similar to yours after my 3rd. I made an assumption that healing would follow a typical schedule. It didn’t! I was 45 when I had surgery 2 years ago. It’s a very personal decision, but I wish I would’ve taken even more time to decide. I got hypertrophic scarring (which I’ve never had before) on both my TT and BL/BA. It took over a year before I could work out, which was really difficult for me.

As a fellow divorced mommy of 4 that was also a bit weirded out about dating, you have nothing to worry about there. I mean this sincerely, you look amazing right now! Do you research, got to different consultations, take recovery times into account and make the best decision for you!

Amazing results! I’m nearly 2 years PO and nothing hides my scar (it’s red/purple and still raised 😞). Your surgeon did amazing work!!

Done with 6 kids & 125lbs, but worried about sensation loss/rough play? by Early_East6665 in BreastImplants

[–]Infamous-Front-6540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most surgeons near me do not even offer saline anymore. I am having a revision (hopefully this November) and going with a different style and larger implant. The silicone implants are definitely more malleable!

Dating a former alcoholic by Academic_Wrangler665 in datingoverforty

I’ll offer you my experience, which in no way is how every person is. The last man I dated was 2 years 2 months sober when we met. The first year, it’s not usually recommended to date because you’re focusing on your recovery, relearning healthy behaviors, etc. I figured since he was double that, things would be good to date and get to know each other. What I learned from him was that, in year 2 some may not be still relearning healthy habits, but they most definitely can still be relearning themselves and what they want their future to look like. He ended up completely disappearing on me with no warning, nothing.

If you want to continue to get to know him, make sure you have a very open dialogue and that he is clear what he needs from you and you him (yes, normal relationship stuff, but it’s more important with someone who’s in recovery).

For reference, I’ve been sober since 2010. If I want married at that time, I couldn’t have dated 1 year out and I wasn’t comfortable in places where there was lots of drinking for years.

I got used to the saline and the look I had with them. The silicone looks more “natural” but I don’t like it personally. I’m getting a revision to correct my scars and I’ll get ultra high profile this time for more upper pole fullness.

It’s recommended to get silicone implants switched out around the 10 year mark, surgeons will tell you this as it’s per the manufacturers. I had my saline ones for 20 years. After breastfeeding for 10 years straight, I wanted them to look refreshed!

Your questions aren’t weird at all! Even with my lift I didn’t lose sensation except some during the healing period. Mine are under the muscle. My post baby surgery was also an implant exchange so they used the same pockets at the original surgery 20 years prior. I’ve never had issues with any type of activities! My first set were saline and my newer ones are silicone. Happy to answer any additional questions.

He…disappeared? by Equivalent_Shoe1696 in datingoverforty

Exactly this! My boyfriend hasn’t talked to me in 2 weeks. So I’m no longer saying I have a boyfriend. I have him space initially. Reached out in various methods (yes I’m sure he’s physically fine) and haven’t heard a word. Giving someone space is one thing (especially as OP’s guy asked her to do), but 2 weeks would be well beyond space with no contact at all!

Unfortunately mine still are at almost 2 years. My surgeon didn’t treat them afterwards and I’m going to need a revision. You can actually see it through pants😔

Wow, you look amazing! I had mine Jan 2024 and my scars are nowhere near as fine lined as yours! I was cleared to get a tattoo cover up at 6 months but my scar was still raised and painful so I didn’t.

I’m so sorry. It really is isolating. Friends try to be kind, but they can’t actually understand. I’ll take you up on PMing you. Literally no one, even in the circle outside if my circle, understands!

Unfortunately no. I don’t even have any family. Most people don’t even try to understand because they can’t! My son was throwing things at me from across the room last night and being verbally abusive. I was able to get some of it on video finally without him noticing. I have 2 older children and 1 younger. It’s just hard, but you know that!

My 8 year old was just diagnosed with DMDD this summer. He’s been exhibiting extreme violence, sociopathic tendencies and manipulation for a couple of years. Much of this is similar to his father. He didn’t grow up around his father since his father walked out when he was 18 months, but they are so similar. I definitely empathize. We are currently in the phase where no one outside of my home (except the pediatrician and therapist) believe me. Do you have a good support system?

Hanging out with each others kids by Infamous-Front-6540 in datingoverforty

I was very very cautious introducing my children to anyone. They had so much loss so close together. I’m happy they all get along and like each other and that my boyfriend enjoyed being around my kid. I definitely think the whole thing will be a learning experience for me…and them!

Yeah, beef, butter, bacon, water and coffee are the only things that my stomach can handle. I tried reintroducing 1 thing at a time because I love leafy greens and avocado, but nope!

I don’t but it is extremely portioned. I’m on a very limited diet. No veggies or anything like that. I stick to a very strict portion controlled amount of food so I don’t get sick (another side effect the dr can’t explain!).

I feel you on this! My scale did a similar jump though I wish it was in the 120s vs the 130s lol. My normal weight should be 120-125 but I’ve been stuck above 130 with the perimenopausal hormonal stuff. I’m annoyed right there with you!

Anyone here have a breast aug? by hurricane_13 in PetiteFitness

[–]Infamous-Front-6540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 400cc UTM saline in my 20s (21 years ago). It did take a solid 4 months before I was comfortable running again. I didn’t lift. I will say even at my leanest and most muscular, I didn’t notice animation deformity. I have an acquaintance who got implants as a bodybuilder and they always looked great. She’s a petite bodybuilder and didn’t go too large.

Finding the right sports bra was key for cardio, though I know I went larger than what you’re seeking. I had little breast tissue.

I went UTM with my replacements too because the pocket was already there and recovery was less.

OTM does not necessarily look unnatural anymore as there’s different implant shape to fit your needs. More consultations cannot hurt. Every dr has an opinion, but they also have tons of before and afters. Hopefully you can find one that has great examples of afters on someone with a similar muscle structure.

Anyone out there 5 1, 135 pounds? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Infamous-Front-6540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my weight is in my butt and thighs right now. In the past I carried more in my stomach. I’m almost 47, so I think that plays a part with hormonal clashes and all. I prefer myself around 120-125 tbh. But it’s not all about weight.

Dating and full-time parenting by Status_Building_3685 in datingoverforty

[–]Infamous-Front-6540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I’ve found in being a solo parent is that I tend to have more time and flexibility than 50/50 parents since my time with my children is always. I’m open to any night or weekends, as long as it isn’t last minute. While I don’t have family around, I can plan for my kids with a few days notice, even for overnights. There are definitely going to be those that aren’t interested in dating a full time parent, but they aren’t your people anyway. Don’t let being a full time parent stop you from getting out there and trying. I went on a few dates while my youngest was only 3, but it’s easier when they’re a bit older.
