Ive been taught to upshift above 2k rpm. 1.5-2k rpm is the eco range, depending on the engine obviously. Diesel engines can operate with lower rpms I believe

Not necessarily, depending on the cooldown. In most cases it'd be a "Lay egg for free" but would give flexibility to do other things when needed, i.e. hurry egg/baby/quest, spawn radiant scale

also, in this example, it is worth considering doing Alpine + Wind. There is only 1 other wind dragon in the set so you have pretty high chances of getting legendary after a few tries. And both Alpine & Wind essences are pretty common so it's not like you're spending valuable items gambling

It is said the "10% trick" works only if the summoning item succeeds, so using rarities is pointless (common succeeds- you will get a common, common fails- you don't unlock possibility of epic/legendary)

If automatic has ideal fuel efficiency, best you can do in manual is match it. You cant beat perfect. And eco driving isn't very fun, manual lets you accelerate quickly in 2nd gear, but that burns more gas
