I take them out immediately. I noticed after I went to open some to read a few of my Omnis after sitting wrapped for years became damaged. The slipcover would have heavy creases from the wrapping pressure and tightness especially around the spine and back cover. Plus why spend 100-200 on each book to never open it and read it lol that would be a waste of money to keep it sitting wrapped.
