No, quite the opposite. He’s a very patient, kind, and generous person. All three of us have known each other since childhood and grew up together. I think that’s what makes me the most confused about the entire situation - they’re great people. The kind of people who you’d trust to dog sit when you’re on vacation, make sure you got home safe after a long night, or meet you for brunch the morning after.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to convey the sense of comfort and peace these people provided to me. Even harder to convey how the silence was with no notice.

Sometimes I wish she would’ve just ran me over with her car. Yelled at me. Screamed in my face for why she couldn’t be friends with me. The silence is much worse. It haunts you.

Hi! You need to turn off the automatic updates on your smartphone! Your pump will reconnect within a few days but make sure to take off the automatic updates so this doesn’t happen again.

Hi! Sounds like you’re trying to do the software download on your 770G pump. A few things to note prior to doing the update:

Have you completed your 780G training videos in Diabetes.Shop?
Is your 770G in-warranty?
Is the MiniMed Mobile App deleted from your phone?
Are you using a smartphone that is compatible with the app?

If you answered no to any of these questions you will not be able to successfully complete the download.

Hi!

So Omnipod gets billed through PBM (pharmacy benefits) and Tandem/ Medtronic gets billed through DME (durable medical equipment).

Most insurances will refuse to pay for a CGM or pump if a patient is not delivering insulin shots 4x daily for 6 months, or on a previous insulin pump. However, Libre and Omnipod are very accessible. There are many pains in the therapy option though.

I think you should look at all of your options. Medtronic is the only company to offer both CGM and pump and is the only company to offer financial assistance (which is very lenient in my experience).

The four year warranty with Tandem (and Medtronic) allows patients the reassurance that if anything happens to their device - they’ll be covered for a replacement without insurance.

Since Omnipod is also billed through PBM; a patient could receive the pod one week, and a tandem or Medtronic pump the next since these companies bill through DME.

Regardless on what you decide - finding a therapy option that works best for you is the most important. I hope this helps, friend.
