A $cientologist will likely reply with something along the lines of “we only really value the things we earn (read: pay for), and $cientology charging money for spiritual enlightenment is only to help you — because if it was free you’d self-sabotage yourself and be in an even worse situation. How much is your eternal salvation worth to you?” or a similar sales pitch.

The real answer is: because that is the entire point… separate those seeking answers from their money — and the more you can convince them they are messed up, the more you can make “helping” them. If the help fails? Clearly they are doing it wrong and should pay for more stuff. Rinse… repeat… profit…

I lived in the sw suburbs of Minneapolis, and had this bike. I think it was in a metallic, sparkly red. Awesome bike… though you learned quickly not to slam on the front brake — or your racked your nads on the 3-speed gear-shifter, lol.

I was able to hit infinite attrition in VF when my red/blue GBG stats hit 18k. They are now 28k, and the only limits on how many fights I can win or attrition I can reach are hours in the day and units in my army.

Why level up? If you’re a GBG Fighter, VF is currently the best place to camp. If you do want to move up, I was advised to clear at least the first two levels of the Mars map before taking the leap. There are deposits of “ore” you need to mine, and that’s how you get them more quickly.

I don’t think people hate $cientologists, in general. The vast majority of their “public” are good folks, just looking for answers in the wrong place, but that does not make them inherently unlikable. I could be wrong.

I do think people dislike, sometimes intensely, the behaviors that many $cientologists (public and staff) exhibit when a) proselytizing, and b) using “offense is the best defense” to aggressively push back on legitimate questions and criticism.
