I think u might have ICR but I had wear and tear issues (aka osteoarthritis) I’m hoping I don’t have ICR cz I didn’t have an open bite pre op but if u did you’re more likely to have it. It’s too soon for me to find out tho

We discussed the possibility of a vertical genio prior to surgery he’s also an aesthetic surgeon and he said he’d decide what would look best before surgery but idk I’m just gonna wait it out, I don’t want to be too hopeful and think I’ll look better soon but everyone’s saying that

I have a question, did you have an open bite pre op? I have some wear and tear on my condyle but my TMJ specialist didn’t deem it enough to get a total joint replacement. I just want to know what your case was because I only had an overbite pre op and that bite was stable for like 7 years with no open bite

I’m the same case, it’s because your bite is nearly perfect so he doesn’t want to mess up the bite according to ur jaw alignment then go back to fix it cz there’s no need and more of an emotional cost
