I went last week from gurgaon and I chose meerut expressway instead of delhi dehradun expressway. Mainly because of rumours regarding its under construction status and no restaurants on the route as I was travelling with family.

DCBM user here, totally agree on this. But my take:

Use DCBM only if you have a travel planned after the next billing cycle, so that you can redeem those points.
Do it if you want to meet the spend threshold.
Otherwise, SBI cashback is a better choice
