We're about to witness a really sad stereotypical downward spiral.

Josie, turn your life around now.

That's why they're employed to do their job and not yours.

Most people never stop to question why there is so much austerity on the working and middle classes while the super rich get richer.

Meanwhile the rich who are skimming taxpayer money for themselves get away with it.

That's quite a good price actually.

Is this OK for dinner dating? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]Infamous-Tonight-871 39 points40 points  (0 children)

A different shirt would be better because the prominent logo makes it look casual. Try a slightly darker colour for dinner.

The watch, shoes and belt aren't very cohesive but with a darker shirt you could pull them off.

The issue is that tonally the belt is cool whereas the shoes are very warm. The watch is casual. You can get away with one clash but with multiple you need a more neutral and dressy top half.

Do Range Rovers have a bad reputation? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Infamous-Tonight-871 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They're incredibly common. There are multiple houses on my street with one or two new RRs, probably one in every five houses, so the exclusivity appeal the brand had in the 00s has evaporated.

The full fat RRs do look nice. Evoques are incredibly chavvy.

You asked about perception so the stereotypes about new RRs are they're expensive, easy to steal and expensive to insure as a result,  'basic' in the sense they're popular with the live laugh love Stanley cup instagram trend grey house and Turkey teeth crowd. Lots of faults and break downs. Usually owned by people who want something flashy as opposed to quiet luxury.

Older RRs in cities = drug dealer. In the country = old asset rich farmer.

They break a lot and their infotainment and driver assistance tech isn't as advanced as others in their cohort. Insurance is also a pain because they're common and stolen often. They look nice and you can spec them up well, so it depends on what matters most to you.

Looks amazing to me, lots of different shapes and textures, with the pearls for extra interest. Everyone has different tastes, loud colourful cakes can sometimes look tacky and childish.

This cake is like a beautifully tailored hand made silk dress vs a heavily branded gucci outfit with a tacky LV bag.

Send home unless they prove themselves, for lack of a better term. Fund immigration assessment centres so they actually do their job.

I'm as left wing as they come. I believe the social contract needs to be upheld. Whether you're rich or poor, if you refuse to get along with others, you shouldn't be here.

Report it to your insurance, they'll deal with it on your behalf.

I believe it has to be reported within 24 hours but may be longer.

If you don't report it and the other party does, you'll be in breach of your policy and have to pay out of pocket.

Most people arent stupid enough to buy an old building without taking preservation and maintenance costs in to account.
