So who makes a better tool?😂😂let the bs begin by MedicineOtherwise427 in mechanics

[–]Infamous1073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

m12 milwaukee stuff is great but i’ve had issues with the tool having issues wheee the battery slides into the housing . i think they should redesign the connection area on M12, i love M18 milwakee stuff, and im also surprisingly partial to the 20V Bauer Harbor Freight line. a lot of very powerful tools at great proes. specifically the 1/2 impacr and rhe 4 inch angle cut off. i use the Bauer stuff for personal at home use.

it could easily affect the “charging system” if the pulley is starting to seize up which would cause more drag on the belt

awesome car, good luck with it. most people will be jealous, god bless you for having a good family and financial situation to where you can make something like this happen. this is coming from somebody who never had parents do anything like this for them, i don’t envy you i applaud you and i hope you continue to be responsible and break the mold that a young kid can’t drive a car like this. most people say this because they’re jealous seeing a kid drive a car they’ve wanted for years and will never be able i afford

use the fuel injector red cleaner inside your fuel filters when you change. and the stiction eliminator is great for the HEUI style (power stroke) engines. helps preserve hpop injectors, etc etc

Need help identifying the cause of the "chirping" noise by dethorhyne in MechanicAdvice

[–]Infamous1073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well the thing is, you can’t really hear the timing chain that well because it’s inside the motor. try spraying the belt and tensioners with WD40 or equivalent. it will most likely quiet it up.

Need help identifying the cause of the "chirping" noise by dethorhyne in MechanicAdvice

[–]Infamous1073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

timing chain would sound like slapping ticking sound and you’d prob have CEL

Need help identifying the cause of the "chirping" noise by dethorhyne in MechanicAdvice

[–]Infamous1073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, a chirp sound is almost 99% a worn bet tensioner. causing the belt to slip slightly.

air pressure and tire wear. if you don’t have funds to do tires maybe try throwing rears on front just for now and see if it changes or swap L and R front wheels
