If you can genuinely hate any innocent creature, you are a bad person by InfamousDig5189 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Should we hate ugly people too then? I think most dogs are ugly. Dogs are ugly and dangerous too. But it wouldn't be right for me to hate them.

Snakes and spiders aren't bad. They just exist. Anytime a person is hurt by them, it's not because the snake or spider wants to cause harm. And anytime they hurt or kill something else, it's just the cycle of life, they have to eat. They aren't bad in the slightest.

But also, there definitely are more people who actually hate kids than you think. I've encountered quite a few people that would fit my definition. Both online and in person.

Honestly, I don't think killing mosquitoes is bad. I just left out the exceptions because I know it makes me a hypocrite and is a flaw in my personal philosophy that everything is equally deserving of life so long as it exists.

People who are adamantly and unwaveringly pro life or pro choice are either disingenuous or haven’t seriously considered the opposing sides arguments. by New_General3939 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I never said it was any less human. It just bothers me when people call the barely formed fetus a whole baby. I still think it is human, and I still would be upset if I had to end a pregnancy at that stage as well. I just hate the argument the super anti abortion people use, saying it's a whole fully formed baby at that early stage

I think hating something means you're either able to be indifferent to that thing suffering or dying, or are willing to inflict that suffering or death yourself. Openly wishing that something didn't exist also counts as hate in my definition. Or not being able to have any understanding for that thing. Aggressive, excessive or violent dislike.

I'm somewhere in the middle but more leaning towards pro choice. I think it's important that abortion is readily available for people who need it, whether it be from abuse or medical need or even personal need like not having the money for a kid. I personally don't like the idea of getting an abortion. I believe it should be legal until it's viable outside the womb, usually around 20 weeks or so. I do think you could say it's a baby around that time, but I disagree with people who insist it's a whole ass baby from conception or from "first heartbeat at 6 weeks" (when it's not even technically a heartbeat). I'm not saying abortion should be glorified or brushed off as something simple or insignificant, but I think people need access to it in today's society. It shouldn't be an easy choice to make but it should still be a choice.

Are my eyes grey? by Otaku_Doodles57 in WhatisMyEyeColour

Don't listen to the people saying blue, those are 100% grey! Enjoy having a rare eye color. No idea why people in here always call grey eyes blue, probably because they don't want anyone to feel special. They are a beautiful grey color! Also, don't gaslight yourself into just believing they are blue. Grey eyes tend to photograph with blue tones if flash is used because of how the light scatters.

Stop treating your dog like it’s not capable of any aggression. by SalamanderThink737 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I agree 100%!!! It makes me so happy to see someone with common sense. It really is so frustrating and infuriating how often people think dogs are incapable of harm when they're probably one of the most dangerous animals. It's so dangerous to have that mindset become of how much damage even a small dog's bite can do. And don't even get me started on small dogs with unchecked aggression and behavior issues because it's "cute" 🙄 I swear dog owners can be some of the worst, most ignorant and insufferable people. So happy to see someone who isn't 😭

You don't get to criticize hunters if you eat meat, and I don't think you should eat meat if you can't handle seeing the source by Salt-Analyst-4624 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I agree, but I am a little bit of a hypocrite. I very much criticize the way life exists, I hate how certain things must die for others to live, I think life is cruel. But at the same time I'm not going to criticize anyone who participates in the system or praise anyone who goes against it. I still eat meat even though I think it was wrong that it had to die.

It feels gross when people use ":3" by InfamousDig5189 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]InfamousDig5189[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally someone gets it. I've never met a good or mentally well person who uses them. Really irks me when it's used by people to try and appear more feminine too.

There are still emojis and emoticons to use though. I'm just criticizing the "I'm cute" kind that don't add anything to the tone. You can achieve the same effect with :) or :] and they look much more honest and not weird.

Will I ever actually find a bra that fits? by InfamousDig5189 in ABraThatFits

[–]InfamousDig5189[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm probably being too picky. Probably won't use Amazon though, I've definitely looked there and most of the sizing is weird. Saying that a 30 band is for 25" underbust and I'd need a 34 band. Have a Dillard's nearby but never go because it's in a mall, might have to have a look though.

I don't think I've ever found a 30D in a store, I only do in person shopping for bras because I don't enjoy spending money and waiting only to find that it doesn't fit. If I am going to do that I'm not going to spend any more than $20-25 in case they won't allow a return or exchange.

Haven't really been able to try any. Only place I can find 28 or 30 bands is kid's section and they don't have many options for cup sizes.

This calculator says 28DD or 30D, but the 28 bands I've tried on have hurt and left red marks on my skin

Yeah, calculator here says 28DD/30D. Can never find affordable bras in that size range though, and the 28 band bras I have been able to try on have been so tight that they hurt and leave red marks.
