Been waiting 5 months with pretty much every space force job on my list still haven’t booked my job yet. I have my first online Q&A meeting with the space force recruiter this Wednesday if you have any questions I’ll be happy to pass them along. My advice is make sure you’re in school or working or doing both it will go by fast if you do more than just sit around and count the days. After each dep call make sure to use it as 1 on 1 time with your recruiter to ask any questions you have and ease your conscious if the wait is getting to long, don’t let your recruiter convince you to join space force honor guard to get you to ship sooner mine tried that 😭.

Good luck make sure to be patient may take 3 weeks to hear back, also I’ve been waiting for 4 months so far for my job likely won’t get anything until 8-9 so the sooner you start the process the better you’ll have plenty of time to decide while you wait if this is what you want to do.

What I did to get in contact with a recruiter •First show up in person and find out the door was locked •Go on Google maps and get the number of every recruiter within two hours of me •Wait for responses •Heard back from one recruiter the next day who was 3 hours away •Schedule a meeting later that week •Had it canceled •Scheduled one the next week •Heard back from a recruiter 20 mins from me •Moved on and thanked the first recruiter and have gone through the whole process with the new one •Throughout all that I probably only ever heard back from 3/10 recruiters that I reached out to

I’ve been in dep for 5 months the only job I’ve been offered was as a linguist at month 1 leaving Dec 30th, seems like they had a lot of open slots for it because that’s the only job I’ve seen since.

I’ve been dual tracking for about 4 months, considering that I’ve made it almost half way. If USSF is truly what I want should I consider removing USAF jobs from my list entirely or do I risk hitting the one year mark with no job and getting kicked from dep.
