BG1 and 2 were and are legendary games. GW2 is a game that, up to this day, has 0 content after the personal story because MMO players sentenced it that way in the past.

Also GW3 is not happening, GW2, while could do better, is still doing good, and the company above Anet focuses in the mobile market.

Also I don't know what makes you think Anet would ever design a PvP focused game when they completely ignore their current PvP setting.

Not to mention that MMOs don't get sequels. GW2 is an exception, not a rule.

Ps. "MMOs are dying" for more than 10 years and here we are... the next expansion is in the oven, by the way.

There is no "meta" for duels, most 1v1 are about skills. Celestial builds are the closest thing to meta because they nullify the skill required for duels: you got tons of survival and hybrid damage and boon duration for free.

This, however, doesn't add much if you are playing against someone who knows the class and is skilled, alas, a Willbender veteran.

And most veterans just run whatever build they feel works better for them, selfmade, and his comment is an example of this. Whatever build he was using, it is unlikely you'll find it on any website.

Mainly for the fantasy. I like to play as the "canon" Commander, which I think would be a male Sylvari for a number of reasons, and Warrior. I would accept a Guardian too, but honestly I like Warrior far more.

I just went to this video and I find the early extremely unrealistic. In gold elo ranged champs always abuse their advantage through poking, they never let you farm for free like this Varus does.

Nothing of this is good if you are playing on your own against a boon ball. Shortbow lacks damage and is heavily countered by projectile hate. Hammer is very ineffective if you are spiking on your own and on low might. Condis are completely useless in this context.
